I wanted to draw the other justices, but bailiffs kept blocking my view. Also, bailiffs scowl a lot. The ones I drew were Justices Sotomayor, Justice Thomas, and Justice Roberts.

We are in DC for the next couple of days. One of my daughters has hopes of being a lawyer so we took the opportunity to attend oral arguments at the Supreme Court. Today, they listened to opening arguments third-party billing costs for Native Americans.

You know what I really like about Bluesky? If I have to turn off my phone while I'm in the middle of reading someone's post, the app doesn't automatically reload when I go back to it. And even if I did somehow lose the post, the feed is chronological so I can just scroll until I find it again.

I have such a love/hate relationship with digital. It seems like it's going to be faster, but it's so easy to get lost in tweaking settings or endless variations of the same thing that many times it's easier and faster just to use analog tools. All that to say, I understand what you're feeling.

@superactionfunboy.bsky.social if you adjust the spacing on some of the pencils (depending on which specific one you're using) you can make them feel more natural. The other thing that helped me was to lower the Flow (under Rendering). Of course all of this stuff is subjective.

Isn't it weird that all of the streaming companies chose to raise their prices during the same year as the actor's strike? We're already seeing launch dates for new seasons and movies being pushed back. Asking people to pay more money for less content is an interesting business strategy.

The water solubility is the very quality that’s stopped me from diving in because a lot of my traditional work is with acrylics. I should probably be more open and willing to dance with the tools and their inherent qualities instead of trying to force them to comply to my workflow.
