As a former member of staff, it was always one of the most embarassing things if we had something listed as in stock but it wasn't in the store. I had a customer really lay into me once about a card for his camera, most likely it'd be nicked but he really shouted at me.

Tokyo is the dream holiday for me and my partner, we're hoping to go next year. The gaming/retro gaming is a big thing that interests me.

Woolworths is the obvious one I miss, just because of how prominent it was but I just miss having that variety in tech/gaming on the high street in general. Missing being able to go for a nice browse. I do have a soft spot for Maplin, not as a shopper but because that was my first job!

I really need to sit down and start playing them! I have a fair few that I've bought over the years but not played them!

Been wanting to play them for a while, never really known where to start with them as there are so many.

Cosy in the car, listening to Marillion and reading the latest 2000AD whilst waiting for Charly to finish her Japanese lesson :)

I think genuinely, just for the sheer experiences I've had playing it with Charly and with our friends, Big Walk might actually be my game of the year.

I don't really understand that. Thrak has it's moments but that trio of Discipline, Beat and Three Of A Perfect Pair is unbeatable for me!

Midway through the second Nevada level on Tomb Raider 3, mad that I never really played this one, but have played the first two several times! Really good so far, although it does not mess about difficulty wise!

Gatekeepers are bizarre af, they spend so much time worrying about what other people are doing in a hobby than actually enjoying the fucking hobby.

It's one mind boggling thing about football, just how tribalistic people get about it, and how deep their 'hatred' for other clubs goes, utterly silly to me. I understand rivalries but some people go way too bloody far. It'd be horrible to lost a big club like Utd.

I actually had to dip the difficulty down when it came to the melee side of things, not sure why but it just never fully clicked with me. I absolutely adored the exploration side of the game though.

Visiting family this weekend but when I get back, want to see about updating some stream graphics a bit. Think it's finally time I got a new intro card. Excited about the next few games I'll be playing too, more Spyro 2 on Thursdays, Broken Sword on my Streamiversary and then Bioshock!

JLSoryu @jlsoryu.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

I'd tell them to create and stream and do what makes them happy because that's what it's about, they're not taking up space or anything. Go forward and have fun and be passionate, but apparantly I can't take my own advice and make myself feel shite.

030

JLSoryu @jlsoryu.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

Getting frustrated with myself this week, because I'm constantly having those "You should pack in the streaming/writing/YT stuff you do because you're just taking up space." It's annoying because if someone told me that was how they felt about themselves I'd tell them to not be silly.
