As a grad student, I remember hearing stories from professors about the (negative) changes they observed on coral reefs over their careers. I didn’t expect to see such drastic changes within a much shorter time span (5 yrs) at our study site in Honduras due to disease and bleaching. #OceanChat

If you want to know about the history of fishing, read The Unnatural History of the Sea by Dr. Callum Roberts Published in the mid 2000s, so probably needs some updating, but it's very good! Some of the talking points on fishing 400 years ago were probably pulled from that book #oceanchat
