Dryads from the north woods of Wisconsin - three white cedar trees growing together #illustration #inkart #dryads #minimalart

A framed ink drawing. Deep black lines on white paper create a free-flowing illustration of three women with white cedar tree branches growing from their heads. They are posed like a thicket of trees between skinny hemlock saplings.

The Wolf. Check him out in the middle-grade sci-fi novel "What Next? Phase 1" bookshop.org/p/books/what... #illustration #middlegradebooks

A pen and ink illustration. A two-headed white wolf stalks in a snowy tundra. The wolf dwarfs two warmly-dressed humans and a smaller wolf, who faces the two-headed wolf while growling fiercely. Enormous spiky mountains loom in the distance.

Really pleased with this ink and colored pencil drawing. "What do you do with the lump in your throat?" #illustration #inkdrawing #inkpainting #mixedmedia

Hand holds an ink and colored pencil drawing. The drawing shows a woman sitting at a kitchen table smoking out the window. Guts spill out from her throat onto a large dinner plate in front of her, which continue into the soil of a colorful flower pot sitting by the window.

Commission for a miscarriage I made last year. I've made a few pieces honoring miscarriages, and I'm happy my art is entrusted with such personal emotions.

Ink and watercolor illustration showing two hands cupping four colorful wildflowers and a clean, broken robin's egg shell. The colors are saturated, morose pastels.

I love making little flyers for parties I throw, here's one I made with black and grey markers a few years ago 🎃

A hand-drawn party flyer for a halloween corn maze gathering. Features four cute cartoony figures, a woman in a witch's hat a person wearing cat ears, a small black cat and a child sized frankenstein, sitting on jack o lanturns roasting marshmallows around a bonfire. Shadows cascade behind them onto the grass, corn stalks and pine trees surrounding them. A starry open sky in the top half of the image makes room for text that reads "a halloween evening at the Richardson Adventure Farm, October 26, Corn Maze 3p-7p, Bon fire 7p-11p."

Giant 17"x11" block print I made a few years ago, it was a ton of fun

Black and white block print of a hairy man wreathed in oak leaves leaning back as he sensually eats a brightly glowing orb of light. Blobs of light seem to splash off the orb, casting dark shadows around in the background.

Hen of the Woods and the King Bolete. Both from 2021.

Thick ink lines depict a woman with outstretched arms and hen of the woods mushrooms growing out of her. She smiles serenely at the large curling specimen she holds in her hands.

Thick ink lines depict the torso of a young boy growing out of the ground. A dense, wide King Bolete mushroom cap sits on his head past his eyes as he looks upward with his mouth open in wonder. He holds a king bolete in his hands while other king bolete mushrooms grow out of the ground around him.

I am extremely pleased with how this chandelier turned out and even more proud that I made it myself! Learning how electricity worked took some brainstorming but it was well worth the effort to have such a beautiful custom lamp in my living room.

A large piece of driftwood hangs from a ceiling with five pendant lightbulbs hanging at irregular lengths below it. The five lights are shaded with light blue glass and cast many shadows from the driftwood onto the ceiling.

The driftwood chandelier from further away to show how it looks hanging above two small couches, a coffee table, and a number of house plants in front of three large windows.

Finally tackled the wiring. Daisy-chained the five pendant light sockets together using heat-shrink sleeves to protect the splicing (pretty proud of myself for my first time doing this!). Secured the wiring to the top of the driftwood using zip ties attached to small eye hooks.

Loose electrical wired attached to the top of a piece of driftwood. The wires are secured with metal eye hooks and zip ties.

Electrical wires daisy-chained together, looking much more neat and trimmed than when they were loose and exposed.

Extra zip ties used to make sure it's impossible to see the daisy-chained electrical wires from below the piece of driftwood hung from the ceiling.

Janus, a genderqueer illustration.

Black and white ink illustration of two genderqueer bodies overlapping. Both figures are connected by the side of their faced in the center as their bodies split into one wearing a chest binder and one wearing a lacy bra. Their skin splits open below their garments revealing ribs, bones, spinning intestines and a single heart floating in front, connecting the two bodies. The figure wearing the bra holds black willow branches and the figure wearing the binder holds white oak branches.

Paper mock-ups of about where I want the pendants to hang

A large piece of gnarled, spreading driftwood with five simple paper cylinders taped at uneven levels underneath. A mock-up of a plug in chandelier.

A close-up of roughly taped paper cylinders hanging from below a large piece of driftwood hanging from a living room ceiling. Twine, masking tape and gift wrapping tape were used to suspend the brown paper cylinders from the ceiling to mimic how blue glass pendants will look after being fully installed.

An ink and watercolor illustration of a lush river with a waterfall cascading over a large sandstone cliff.

A block cut print showing a thick man with dense body hair from the chest up. He reclines among oak leaves as he sensually eats a beaming ball of light the size of a large olive.

A coffin shaped art frame houses a watercolor illustration of a South American woman. She is draped in the blue cloth of Our Lady of Guadalupe but wears a plain grey sweatshirt and dark jeans. She holds a single marigold as she stands in front of a dense starfield with the sun behind her and the crescent moon in front. The illustration is wreathed in yellow spikes that point directly toward the woman and catch her clothing where they get close to her.

An illustration of a cove outside Dao Go Cave in Ha Long Bay, Vietnam. Fluffy clouds billow upward alongside soaring cliff-like islands as boats of all sizes cruise between them. The people on the boats admire the view.

Latest addition in my quest to fill a sketchbook using only six colored markers. Really pushing the color/composition limitations here, I think it would have been better with a few more colors, but at least I got to draw the best part of kpop demon hunters!
