Ok, just going to post this. I'm really not ok with mocking and body shaming the odd looking plastic surgery results. We can and should do better.

I suspect because a lot of donors and some congressmen are also on the Epstein files.

Bizarre dream a few days ago, still processing. Suggests a different perspective on demons that, in turn, suggest how to deal with them.

You sure you weren't just a fishing lure?

Not finding the lie here....

J. K. Mooney @jkmooney.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

I suspect that a whole lot of political donors are in the Epstein files and that's ultimately why they've not been released in full. These upcoming midterms will be interesting to say the least. Our checks and balances are failing. We need to get money out of politics.

J. K. Mooney @jkmooney.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

And now for something completely different....

010

J. K. Mooney @jkmooney.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

Me too. I suspect a big part of the issue is too many of those in a position to actually enforce the rule of law and remove this fat orange turd from office are also on the Epstein files. For the average American citizen, voting is the most we can do.

This right here, because you know manipulation is coming.

I think this is prudent. I would also verify the drop box is legit.

Ever run across that individual that will work themselves into a full panic instead of taking a moment to assess the situation?

I belong to a Unitarian Universalist church. Today, I supported them at a pride festival. This is one of the reasons I know I picked a good church.

I suspect a number of those congressmen may also be on the Epstein files.

I learned the FRIES model of consent. I think, in light of recent events, we should roll "Specific" into "Informed" and change the S into "Sober" or .. Freely Given Revokable (or Reversible) Informed Enthusiastic Sober

Got to be impressed by someone who can be enough of a total asshat to piss off the Canadians.

Given the consequences to many Republicans if the Dems do well, expect them to game the system. More votes make that more difficult.

I have this notion that we've all been lied to about something. This is why you can have two different people with similar morality but wildly different world views. Best we can do is try to understand the other's position and consider nothing we think we know as absolute.

you offer nothing in response, you just say I'm wrong, but I was actually there. You sit down, and get off my feed troll.

010

J. K. Mooney @jkmooney.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

I don't think so. When an opinion piece was run, the news station had an obligation to give "equal time" to the opposing point of view if it was requested. Repealed by the Reagan adminstration.

110

J. K. Mooney @jkmooney.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

As an "early Gen-X-er", I'll go a step beyond that. It was the rise of cable news channels, and how they could get "stuck" on a story and the temptation to "editorialize" got ever stronger. Eventually, we repealed the "fairness doctrine" and that opened the door for news "infotainment" channels...

How about the lost souls of the Nephilum? The giants purged from the Earth in the great flood and ineligible for redemption, now wandering the land preying on the fears and uncertainties of mankind?

010

J. K. Mooney @jkmooney.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

I don't think it's about congress "not doing enough" to rein in Trump, it's more that they are actively protecting and facilitating him. I imagine the Epstein files, when they finally are made public, will read like a "Who's Who" of the wealthy and powerful. It will be quite the reckoning.

010

J. K. Mooney @jkmooney.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

Yea, I may not have agreed with him, but I never doubted his integrity.

Just got notified of being added to a block list. Wonder if it's a "Life of Sharks" fan or that one troll that wrapped themselves in an LGBT flag to spew hate against the entire hetero community? Oh well, 8 billion people in the world, can't really get too concerned about this one.

Just finished the Ghost in the Shell TV series. Saw the anime but I understand this tracked more closely to the original manga. Was definitely different but also the same story. I liked it.
