I believe the first team to start and end their season outside the US was Toronto in their first season.

Completely understandable. He also used “foreign country” for outside US. I quickly checked if the Jays/Expos ever started and ended their season in the foreign US, which they have. Perhaps he meant to add the qualifier “US-based team,” but I think he meant the MLB season, which is more interesting.

Ya, he messed that up. Not the first team to do so. It’s the first time the MLB’s opening game and final game is outside the US. The Dodgers’ game in Japan was the first of the league‘s season.

The head of Bezos's philanthropic 'Earth Fund' saying the not-so-quiet part out loud: A core aim of their funding for eNGOs is to co-opt or otherwise neuter anti-capitalist tendencies in the climate movement
A passage from an FT article reads: "Steer said last month on Cleaning Up, a podcast about the energy transition, that the fund had paid out $2.5bn so far, in part to help professionalise climate bodies. “There is still a pretty strong legacy in some mainstream environmental organisations against capitalism quite frankly,” including opposition to carbon markets as a climate solution, he said."

I'm delighted to have this article published with Security Dialogue. In it, Liam and I build on our earlier work concerning BC's Indigenous Utilities Inquiry to bring into conversation scholarship concerning security professionals and settler colonialism. journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/...
