Wouldn’t this also be an argument against a salary floor?

JkeySports @jkeysports.bsky.social · 10/03/2026
Correct

The Eagles wanting a 2nd doesn’t mean any team will actually pay close to that

What am I missing here. He's a 6th round pick that's had 2 career starts. He looked decent in one and bad in the other.

Who’s trusting McKee to be a starter?
000
JkeySports @jkeysports.bsky.social · 10/03/2026
It’s certainly possible I’m wrong, but I don’t see why a team would give up a 4th for one year of a backup QB

JkeySports @jkeysports.bsky.social · 09/03/2026
I'd be shocked if someone traded a 4th for him
000
JkeySports @jkeysports.bsky.social · 09/03/2026
Is there really a market for him? He's a 6th round pick that's had very limited oppurtunity to actually play and has only looked ok during that limited time.

Mougey discussed this at the combine www.si.com/nfl/jets/ons...

Darren Mougey Weighs in on Jets’ Approach to Free Agency
The New York Jets are well positioned to rebound from a dismal 3-14 season with four selections in the first 44 picks of the 2026 draft. While the team faces ne

So shouldn't their weighted be better than their total?

JkeySports @jkeysports.bsky.social · 26/01/2026
No they’re not using the line at all. We are to judge whether the assumptions he may have been making were reasonable

JkeySports @jkeysports.bsky.social · 26/01/2026
How are you not getting this. You're not using the line to make a decision. But any decision made should factor in reasonable guesses for how the game may play out. If we're judging how reasonable those guesses were, looking at the line is a good way to check those assumptions.

JkeySports @jkeysports.bsky.social · 26/01/2026
2) the assumption is not that they'll score that many points because Vegas says they will. It's using Vegas as a proxy for what's a reasonable assumption of how many points may have been needed at that point to win the game (which once again, should be a relevant factor for coaches)

JkeySports @jkeysports.bsky.social · 26/01/2026
1) having an estimate on how many yards you expect a RB to have over the game shouldn't impact your run/pass decisions at all. Whereas having an estimate of how many points you need should impact how agressive a coach should be in going for points.

JkeySports @jkeysports.bsky.social · 26/01/2026
No it's not treating either like a target that will be hit. Lines are only even expected to be the median so half the time it should be below and half the time it should be above. I think you have 2 misunderstandings here

Objectively, not even the best QB to start for the Browns this year

JkeySports @jkeysports.bsky.social · 26/01/2026
The total being in the 30s isn't arguing to go for it because the total says you're due for a TD. The argument is you should expect to need to score a certain # of points in order to win and therefore when you have a good oppurunity you should try to get 7 instead of settling for 3
100
JkeySports @jkeysports.bsky.social · 26/01/2026
But that's still not what accurate. Saying we expect the RB to gain 50 more yards this game doesn't mean you should expect him to gain 15 yards on this play (or any play)
100
JkeySports @jkeysports.bsky.social · 26/01/2026
Because saying an RB should get 50 more yards this game is different from saying an RB should get 50 yards on this play

It would be 4 1sts in 2027 (Jets, Steelers, Colts, Cowboys). And I agree this would be a great draft for the Jets

It was an article about Judge. That doesn’t mean that defense wasn’t considered in who to select as POY. (They even made reference to the August injury preventing him from adding more value in the field which would imply that it was something they thought about)

I see you don't have Kittle in the standalone tier. I assume that's because of the injury and not saying this is where you'll have him when he's back?

Are you going to keep cherry-picking stats or acknowledge that I showed you with stats he’d be on a HOF pace?
000
JkeySports @jkeysports.bsky.social · 13/07/2025
It’s not the only thing he’s top 500 in. He’s top 200 in career SLG, he’s 1st all time in career SB% and he’s up there in a number of defensive stats for OF.
000
JkeySports @jkeysports.bsky.social · 13/07/2025
Better than the HOF avg for his position
010
JkeySports @jkeysports.bsky.social · 13/07/2025
This isn't even accurate. Where are you getting this number from? His BA over the sample is .258, this year it's .286, career is .249. He's only ever had one season that he hit .203 or less and that was 2018 when he only played 28 games.

Walden is exactly who they should be backing. Adams issue is that he's unpopular and corrupt. Throwing money at his campaign won't fix that. Walden's issue is that he's unknown. That's fixable by financing a campaign and giving him a platform to exapnd his reach.
