My 14-year-old son Jerry built an AI device on an ESP32: type a question on a tiny screen, Gemini answers on the device. No laptop, no phone. He coded it with AI help. Knowing fundamentals is what made debugging manageable. Watch: youtu.be/QpM8lzzdpiA

Month 2 of 100 km jogging done. September's 80–86% humidity made it brutal. Last time in July, I got sweat boils. Took August off. Back at it and finished strong.

How I organise Hermes Wiki? I organise my life on four pillars: Wealth, Insights, Network, Self. Together they spell WINS. My entire Hermes directory tree mirrors these same four pillars. 1/5

I asked Hermes to read @simonwillison.net post and asked it to list what all it can do. It came up with this table Except one-click deploy to cloudflare it can do all. It is also cheaper and portable. bsky.app/profile/sim...

I exported all Claude conversations and analyzed via Hermes agent. I knew Claude had "memory" but didn't know it even holds "reflections" I am also exporting ChatGPT conversations. I will have a consolidated corpus and work with Hermes.

It’s surprising how much you can get done for $10 a month. • Stock research • Invoice generation • Extract highlights from YT videos • Write blog drafts • Distribute content across social media • and more I wrote a post explaining all of these: www.jjude.com/tech-notes/...

I see a new option in OpenCode Go. Allow models to train on request data. All these models, providers, gateways are hungry for data. Sooner or later everyone will train on your data whether you allow it or not. (Remember all these models are trained on free corpus on the net)

Starting to read, "DeepSeek in Practice". This is what I see - the authors call DeepSeek as open-source LLM. Is it technically open-source or open-weighted? Now I've a doubt if I should read the book. What do you think?

Ran out of my OpenCode quota yesterday, not from heavy use. I use DeepSeek Flash with the OpenCode Go subscription. $60/month in credits. Generous. Yesterday, OC stopped routing to DSF outside China. Switched to expensive Kimi. I had jobs running. They all hit Kimi. Quota gone before I caught it.

Developer to CTO journey still runs through code. In 2021 I mapped the journey as a pyramid: Design, Build, Scale, Platforms. The agentic era didn't tear it down. It reshaped the work inside each layer. My view of the journey now: www.ctofieldnotes.com/p/the-road-...

I wrote this "Roadmap to CTO Office" in 2021. A lot has changed since. Do you think developers should still learn to design and build? Or that is best left to LLMs? What do you think? The original post is here: www.jjude.com/learn-next/

I love writing what I do. But distributing them? That doesn't come naturally. I built a solution using Hermes AI Agent. Hermes Agent reads blog files, generates social posts. Also creates hand-drawn Excalidraw diagrams for framework posts. Cost: $0. Details: www.jjude.com/tech-notes/...

If you are selling online and targeting a younger generation, AEO should be a key part of your marketing strategy. More and more people in the younger generation are purchasing products they discover via ChatGPT (and other AI tools).

Can digital agility match the immutable constraints of the physical world? You can vibe-code an e-com store—or automate much of the routine digital work. But physical-world operations still challenge e-com operators. The skills gap in ops is expanding. The next demand will be for physical skills.

Forget that India lags in the field of AI. Tech enthusiasts are trying out AI agents. Telegram is the primary messaging platform for that. Now it’s blocked in India. India is a strange country. Instead of punishing the culprits, it always punishes the messengers.
