Yesterday I went to our LGBT Center’s holiday market, which had more artisans than ever! And four panels of the AIDS Memorial Quilt were on display, my first time seeing any! There were also hateful protesters outside with a bullhorn. Today I’m trying hard to quell my rage and focus on gratitude.

As someone who repeatedly overcommits and burns himself out… I’ve had to learn self-preservation. I’ve collected a lot of mantras in that learning. My newest one: “That opportunity is a ‘no’ if it wouldn’t be a ‘hell yeah’ today.”

Every yes is a no to something else.
Follow your energy before doligations.
Do what you enjoy.
Rest is a priority.
