I feel it can be hard for people to understand unless they have autistic children or relatives. I recall one time, my nephew refused to sleep so my sister laid on the floor in middle of night hoping he would go to sleep with her. He laid next to her and stared in her eyes all night. Hang in there.

Sounds like my training program for half marathon I ran like 15 years ago, which consisted of eating spicy Thai food the night before, drinking couple beers, sleep 4 hours, and copious amount of coffee hours before race than learning the hard way that portable toilets generally do not have TPs.

That's our philosophy at home. Our kids know they are in a safe space and we are always available to them no matter what. We do keep them accountable and always have conversations with them, even when it gets difficult because, it's paramount they KNOW they can always talk to us. My wife is amazing.
