Can't wait! The "by designers, for designers" is so visible here. I don't mean to sound pathetic, but using a beautiful interface has an impact on me as a designer. At least I've been told that my design in the last couple months are somewhat more beautiful.

Take the new Liquid Glass style and tone it down, so everything is still easy to read. I love what Cultured Code are doing with @things.app. It’s one of the apps that made me switch to iOS, and which will probably keep me in the ecosystem forever.

@sketch.com One more feedback, something that was bothering me also way back in my early UX days: The character spacing shouldn't affect the last letter, as it doesn't work well with center text (adds a right padding to the text). Figma does it correctly.

Tohle levičácký nepochopení svobody mě vždycky dostane. Každý má svobodu k tomu, aby na sobě pracoval, vzdělával se a konal podle sebe. Svoboda neznamená, že jsou všichni bohatí. Liquid Glass is pretty nice on tvOS 26, quite a small visual tweak to be honest. I wonder whether some people will even notice it. In Music etc. the buttons are much more obvious, those were too flat in the previous systems. Less tech savvy people will have easier time using the app.

It seemed financially demanding when Figma introduced the Dev Mode, but I didn't care that much as my company pays for it. But I was just thinking - doing a project on the side with 1 designer & 4 developers, the cost gets pretty high: Sketch: 12 USD Figma: 20 + 4x15 = 80 EUR

There are two different reasons hinted at here. One is the lack of backup encryption, which is a real issue with WhatsApp. They have an end-to-end encrypted backup mode, but it remains buried in the optional settings. Also you need to make a weird password.

We used to have beautiful devices with beautiful #interfaces. The example of icon tinting is so spot on! Never would have happened if #Jobs or #Ive were around. It’s ugly as fuck, it makes no sense to customize like this, it’s an #Android thing. I’ve never been so disappointed with #Apple.

I hoped Jony Ive raised good designers who would continue the craft of beautiful and intuitive interfaces at Apple. iOS 7 - while certainly not perfect - was a piece of art. The current proposal of iOS 26 is something which shouldn’t get by round 1 of testing. Wake up, Apple. WTF are you doing?
