this is a notice to go touch grass and look at a tree (for me. I need to go touch grass and look at more trees.)

I also got next years weekly sketchbook and I'm starting to drum up ideas for it. I think I'll fill it with cats, witches, and dragons but I'm fielding ideas now before I actually plan it out in early December. So to say, if anyone has ideas I'm listening.

Real talk for a second, depression is kicking my butt. I've started up therapy but I'm drained and traded a lot of my drawing time for bed rotting and gaming. I'm hoping to draw more cosy stuff while I beat my brain back into a better place. This year has been draining.

Heeeey it's the spread I meant to put up on the 6th and todays as a double, I was having fun with watercolours.

A lot of roses; red, yellow, pink, orange, in water colour and pencil. Some are lined, others were kept messy

Left page is different types of grain (barley, millet, wheat, corn/Maize, rice). The right page is cats with pumpkins, candles, and a hot drink. Both were painted with watercolours and used fineliner for black outlines.

I've never drawn aircrafts before in my life and it shows But that's the point of this sketchbook, to try new things Also the left page theme was originally marshmallows and at some point I'll paint them to look toasty

A two page sketchbook spread. Left page has pencil and ink drawings of cats, one with a bag of jumbo star shaped marshmallows. Right page is a bunch of airplane drawings including a stamp and crates

Sooo I treated myself to the craftamo x KarolineArt brushes and I really wanted to use them on some peacock drawings. But the gaddamn heatwave man. Made my cat happy to just go splat on my desk every day this week. Its directly next to the window so there's a breeze there. He knows it. He wants it.

Drawings of robotic little rodents- a flying squirrel, door mouse, and a long eared Jerboa. Made using pink/purple highlighters and a fineliner pen. Two more pencil sketches of icecream sundae themed peacocks.

Some nice beach and icecream themed stuff because the UK heatwave killed me. Coloured in highlighter because I liked the yellow and just kept going with it. Would of layered brown for chocolate over the Dolphin if I had the confidence for it but minty green flavour will work

Drawings of bees at the beach along with icecream themed whales, dolphins and fish. Coloured with pastel highlighters.

I struggle so much with laying stuff out to fit in, and it's not perfect but the sticky notes at least mean (almost) everything gets onto the page

Fun fact about my sketchbooks/art Sticky notes keep me from giving up over the decision paralysis on a blank page. I had no idea how to lay these out. 11/10 would recommend

Sketches in pencil and purple pen ink of different geckos (Leopard Gecko, Crested Gecko, Day Geckos) and dragonflies with magical orbs, fires and a cauldron

Sticky notes on the sketchbook spread showing the layout plan. The sketches on the notes is highlighter and purple pen

The last time I tried to make a glass themed drawing was the fish potions with markers in February

Taking a small break from animal themed drawings so I can wiggle out of my comfort zone a bit. I think the bottom left glass is a step up from the last time I tried something sorta similar

Drawings of glasses and cakes / desserts made with black pen and pink pencil. Some of the glasses have clouds/sky theming.
