A final comic page, where Gala and Katsi are sitting in Katsi's bedroom. Gala is running a scan on Katsi's lower back, and points out that her Appendix is now producing a short-throw force field. Her organ seems to think her vertebrae need protection from small-caliber plasma rifles. Katsi is shocked.

Gala says "Not a gift from my species I'm afraid", to which Katsi pauses, closing her eyes and quietly musing "But a gift nonetheless".

Gala stares at the human girl in awe, before slurping her tongue across her face with a smile. Katsi giggles and meekly tries to bat away the alien hands cupping her cheeks. "How about a few more changes, then?" Gala says. Katsi begins to feel her hand warp--the matter flowing like water.

She thinks "To be loved is to be changed."
