I meant it when I said I wanted to go slow with the storyline haha. I feel like its what the story needs so people feel invested in the characters especially for a 'Chapter 2' to feel earned.

Oh yes absolutely. I also find a lot of joy seeing other artists raw sketches over the final 'polished' art piece. Its way more artistically and mentally engaging for me cause sketches are more 'raw'-er capture of a persons thoughts and ideas.

Hhaha it takes time but ink is the best for building line confidence. This is my 7th physical sketchbook I am filling (I drew this cover though the art again isnt original haha ;3) I believe I started ink in sketchbook 3 and ever since then never looked back.

My favourite ink pens there are two: the Pilot Kakuno in Extra Fine; an old reliable for maximizing my control & a recent addition this year the Duke 551 Confucius pen with a funky Fude nib which has quickly become my favourite. I also adore the Pentel pocket brush pen.

I absolutely adore Ink brushes they have such a raw energetic feel to their lines at the major cost of control and form but they are incredibly expressive

A lot of the sketches here are copies of images online so forgive me that they arent original; a lot of my sketchbook sketches are more for myself to get into that flow state of drawing and nothing more. I think this is my weakness as an artist that I heavily rely on refs.

It feels amazing having the tip of your brush or pen scratch and flow against a once blank page; the world goes silent, you blink and suddenly an image appears before you and the your fingers temporarily marked with ink stains.

I love working in ink. No other tool I've used turns a thought into something visible as directly. There's no undo and no soft edge to hide behind, so the moment an idea leaves my head it lands on the page as a dark, definite mark.
