Dreams do come true. My new record, A Million Points of Light, is finally mixed and finished. I never thought I would be this proud of anything I have created, but, quite honestly, you can bury me with this one. I can’t wait to deliver it. Aiming to have it with you by June. Love to all, Jx

Southampton, on Thursday I will be in you, like a dinner, or creeping sense of anxiety. What a treat! I will be joined by the wonderful Jim Chorley and the brilliant Cat Elliot. I’ll be playing stuff from my new record, and some of my knackered old hits. See you there! Love to all, Jx

Happy sixth birthday to The Silver Age… Songs such as ‘The Train to the Sky’, ‘Diving Board’ and ‘Overthinkers Anonymous’ capture a liminal time in my life where I was in a state of transfiguration both personally and artistically…I’m really grateful that life gave me those songs. Love to all, Jx

I love this picture of my wife @amyloucarley and I, out on some sort of adventure eight years or so ago. She’s the most brilliant, intelligent, hilarious, inquisitive, complicated and complete human being, not to mention being beautiful inside and out. X

If you’re in the Dorchester area or within striking distance, please try to come along to this if you can. Rich and Nick are magnificent artists and I’ll be there too. 3 artists for the price of a couple of coffees and a sticky bun at Starbucks is a pretty good deal in my opinion 🙂 Much love, Jx

Hello, chums. A musical fact for the day…Queen’s ’Bohemian Rhapsody’ is the only song in history to contain, within its lyrics, the title of the song that would depose it from its position at the top of the UK charts, The usurping track in question being ‘Mamma Mia’, by Swedish pop troupe ABBA.

Hidden away in my Mum’s garage, my old stage keys from the Candlefire days, c/w 22yr old promo sticker for the first chart single I ever wrote. Was wild playing with those guys, and our fabulous manager David Duggan, who passed away last year. Be nice to yourself today. Love to all, Jx

Setup, fret polish and a new set of flats for this old girl ready for a rehearsal for an upcoming wedding ensemble performance this evening. My first ever work in music (a very long time ago now!) was as a bassist and I still play regularly for session stuff and band work. Jx

Grabbing a moment to keep my hands on the frets as I do every day. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is a constant battle for me, and last week I had cortisone injections in my left wrist which I’ve been waiting for for years…so far so good, relatively pain free playing for the first time in a decade 🙂

Who would be interested in seeing a Songwriter’s Circle style tour in the Autumn? It’d be myself with a variety of great singer/songwriters joining me onstage for songs, stories, harmonies and musical adventures into the unknown! If there is enough interest I will make this happen… Love to all, Jx
