The BBC is 6 Music, Hey Duggee, Riot Women, The Traitors, The Sky At Night, Radio 4 Extra. the BBC Singers, The BBC Symphony Orchestra, Blue Peter, Country File, Spring Watch, Maida Vale Studios, Gavin & Stacey, programming for the deaf, the shipping forecast. Don’t confuse the BBC for BBC News.

Definitely not to everyone’s tastes, but this is an album I wish I’d not sat on for 22 years! It’s fun, exuberant and totally over the top. But that’s the idea isn’t it? The Darkness - Permission To Land, Part 1 youtu.be/jQzN8h3uGA0

Yeah, defo. It’s a decent little venue on the prog circuit. I’ve seen Big Big Train, Karnataka, and Solstice there in the last year or so.

It drives me mad seeing meerkats advertising insurance on the telly. When will adverts start showing proper British animals like badgers and pigeons?

I’ve been writing a hard sci-fi space opera book for a long time. I’m probably over half way and word count at about 52,000. Nobody has ever read it. Would anyone fancy a beta read of the story so far? AI, human identity, transcendence, origins of life… it’s heady stuff! Message me if interested.

In truth, I’ve tried to watch it 2 or 3 times in the past on streaming, and never got past episode 2. It didn’t click at all. But this time, I’m all in! I bought the DVD box set to feed my NAS, and maybe that’s why. I’m invested this time! Physical media vs streaming…

I’m very late to the party, but I’m really enjoying The Expanse. Nearing the end of season 3! Jeez, this is top tier hard sci-fi. I’m so impressed with the whole thing: the world building, characters, the factions, the politics, the scale, the story. Really, highly recommended.
