Perhaps this is why russia struck the bridges in Kyiv (although they never need an excuse). Bit if so, this loss must really hurt them.

Maybe. Until their competitors market "we have real humans to talk to".

Breaking a test tube sounds too simplistic. Being russia probably the biological containment system in the lab failed. And the first they knew about it was when the colleague became sick. And then they tried to cover it up.

Both russia and the US (and others) have worked on plague as a biological weapon.

Maybe hoping people will say "My GOP candidate is bad but at least he is better than Paxton, so perhaps I can vote for him"

Yes it could, but plague occurs around the world at low levels, so one extra case in russia should be no big deal - if it's normal plague and not a lab creation. The problem in russia is that they cover up problems instead of dealing with them so things can get a lot worse before actions happen.

Trump is bad, but without his enablers and encouragers he would be powerless. These are the people who should face trial, rapid trial. If not, they will find another Trump to enable.

It gets even more ridiculous. A committee of Trump loyalists talking about something they know little about. Perfect to advise for the bailout for the techbros when the bubble starts to burst.

There are on average 7 cases of plague in the US every year. the last fatality was in 2007, 20 years ago.

Plague is no big deal in the 20th or 21st century. It's susceptible to many antibiotics (Unless the russians were playing around with its genetics.)

In any other democracy there would be multiple reasons why it couldn't happen and ways to stop it if it did. A court in the US will probably rule that it was illegal to spend taxpayer money in this way, but by then too late, the money is gone.

The problem for russians is that they almost all live in these massive apartment blocks with minimal EV charging facilities.

If five years of war has taught anything its that Moscow itself must be hit very hard. If there are important targets in the rear let Ukraine hit them now.

I presume these 100 organizations have had to spend time an money auditing their systems for damage caused by these attacks. OpenAI are clearly liable. Only a matter of time until something really really expensive happens.

Many IPOs don't make a profit "so far" but at least they can show how it might be possible before they run out of funding. AI can't show a pathway to profitability except from circular payments from others within the AI system. And that's like believing perpetual motion for power generation.

I think they would be ok but your point is correct. SCOTUS justices should only be appointed from judges with a long and good track record. This should be one of the reforms along with expansion, retirement ages and term limits.

No surprises there. Witkoff and Kushner were always doing Trump's personal business. Ukraine, Iran etc are only excuses to meet targets.

GOP's problem is that the "ordinary decent republicans" don't like the corruption and disrespect for the rule of law in the Trump regime. MAGA isn't enough for them if the others stay at home on polling day.

There will be a lot of worried people if Trump dies suddenly in office
000
jimmbuzz.bsky.social @jimmbuzz.bsky.social · 03/10/2026
True. The important thing is that he starts openly moving in that direction. And makes it OK to talk about the harm. It will put Farage on the back foot.
010
jimmbuzz.bsky.social @jimmbuzz.bsky.social · 03/10/2026
This is what Starmer should have done, instead of talking about "making Brexit work" because he or his 'advisors' were afraid of Farage. And he would still be PM today.

That doesn't sound like an "AI-Generation Game Engine". So is the company hyping the AI bit (Why???) or is a journalist misunderstand or mis-hyping what's going on?

Actually the billionaires are wrong on this one. This will end with the billionaires demanding a bailout from the State and probably getting it While ordinary people will be left to take the hit in their jobs, investments and pension savings.

"the insatiable demand for computer processing to power AI" But there is no evidence of an insatiable demand for AI Especially a demand that will pay enough to make it profitable.

So AI promoters are reducing their charges. This doesn't mean that their costs have gone down also. Unprofitable is still unprofitable in the fight for market share.

jimmbuzz.bsky.social @jimmbuzz.bsky.social · 02/10/2026
That's probably about all they will be worth after the site remediation is done. A policy that data centres have to build their own sustainable power generation would leave something of value behind after the AI bubble bursts, as it inevitably will.
