I understand the economics of better RTE and fewer inverters make it so appealing on the front end design. Unfortunately, the months of down time and troubleshooting and other issues that crop up make it so much worse. Multiple EPCs, engineers, and OEMS. I'm sure someone is doing it well, somewhere.

This can work okay at a residential scale, but it is important to know what's happening. You don't want the battery to be the in the middle - that stresses it out. DC coupling can be fine at a couple hundred kWh, too. But for large PV+BESS it's more than "slap a couple batteries on it."

There was a snes side scrolling game where you dropped into the mission in a mech and you could exit to operate controls or switch mechs, but you were really squishy outside the armor. Metal Warriors. Not a Titanfall vibe, and the controls sucked, but at least it had a real single player component.

Seconding this. Honestly, the experience is better because you can hear the music instead of just washed out loudness. When you leave the venue you don't have that weird adjustment period to normal sound levels, and you're protecting your hearing.

The most vocal portion of the big titty fan base doesn't want them attached to characters with agency, though. We've seen the ire that female led sci-fi draws, and if you put big titties on vin diesel, you're catering to a very narrow audience.

Now I'm applying at a more measured pace, but for positions I'm qualified for*, I'm still at 100% on interviews with artisanal applications. I take more of a yolo approach with editing, too, figuring errors better communicate my humanity. Also, shitty jokes in the cover letters, when I can.

Over the last year I've been applying for jobs more often than usual (it's fine). During a more intense period I applied to ~30ish positions, fairly specific to my background. For two of those I wrote everything myself, for the rest I mostly let the LLM do it (80/20). Zero hits on LLM, 100% on mine.
