I don't know if he originated the thing, but he did a segment of his show in 2016 calling for people to refer to Trump by his family's ancestral name and, from what I've read, not long after expressed regret about having done that, saying the joke got old very quickly.

Designed by this guy, I hope…
John Cleese in the classic architect sketch on Monty Python's Flying Circus explaining to a group of Freemasons his design for an apartment building with an abattoir attached that slaughters the tenants when they arrive. When the assembled Freemasons politely reject his plan, he blows up and hurls abuse at them for several seconds before finally settling down and apologizing. They send him on his way with a brusque "thank you."

As depicted in this recaptioned Life in Hell cartoon…
Bongo, the one-eared child rabbit of Life in Hell by Matt Groening, looks up at the angry, looming silhouette of Binky the Rabbit, and is surrounded by chaos and debris from a recent flurry of destruction he has presumably wrought upon the interior of their house. The word balloon above him reads, "LET THE HEALING BEGIN."

(The original text was something like "I BLAME MYSELF.")

Anyone remember "Cowboy X" from Sesame Street?
Animated character called cowboy X from a Sesame Street Short in the 1970s, he wears a two toned blue cowboy outfit with a large hat and is wielding what appears to be a large branding iron with an X on it and he is riding a small gray horse. His expression is one of demonic glee.

I still remember the earliest low-budget TV commercials, some guy in a black turtleneck wildly prancing through a darkened space yelling, "ZELDA!" but somehow I never got around to playing any version of it. Same with the Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts series. I did play The Sims a few times.
Legend of Zelda game title thing, but it reads, "I've literally never played any version of this game, not even once."

Rock & Rule (1983)
From an early scene in the 1983 Nelvana animated feature Rock & Rule (AKA Ring of Power), Angel (right) suggests to bandmate (and lover) Omar (left) that during their upcoming "talent night" performance their band perform one of her songs as well as one of his.

The characters are both anthropomorphic animals, Omar being rat-like with an elongated snout for a nose and bright red hair, with Angel appearing cat-like with a small red nose and long, blonde hair.

I feel it, too. It's like that Peanuts strip where Snoopy is close to breaking Babe Ruth's home run record and starts getting hate mail, and when asked if it's keeping him up at night he thinks, *Only when it falls on me.*
Snoopy wearing his ball cap and lying on his dog house, responding as above with the pile of mail looming over him ominously.

It keeps bringing me back to this Peanuts strip from the late 1960s…
Ten-panel Peanuts strip.

1: Title: PEANUTS featuring “Good ol’ Charlie Brown” by Schulz. Charlie Brown is in bed and the sun is rising outside his window and has baseball stitching on it, signifying his fixation with the sport.

2: Charlie Brown is sitting up in bed still in his pajamas but with his baseball cap already on, saying, to the reader, “Another game today… if we win, we’ll only be ten games out of seventh place…”

3: Sally is standing on the left side of the panel, looking at Charlie Brown, who is seated in his ball cap and customary zigzag-striped shirt, preparing to put on his baseball cleats. She says, Why do you always put your left shoe on first, big brother?”

4. He responds, “Well, actually, I don’t, I only put it on first on days when we have a baseball game…”

5. He continues, “I guess it’s kind of a superstition… baseball players have a lot of superstitions.” Sally asks, “What would happen if you didn’t do it?”

6. He says, “Well, we’d probably lose the game.” Sally asks, “Have you ever won?”

7. At the players’ bench for Charlie Brown’s team, Schroeder, dressed to play as catcher, asks Linus, “Where’s our pitcher?” to which Linus, who is seated next to Snoopy, responds, “I don’t know… I haven’t seen him.”

8. Schroeder approaches the front porch steps to Charlie Brown’s home.

9. Schroeder stands looking puzzled with a word balloon next to him that has “!?” (exclamation point and question mark) in it.

10. Schroeder stands, with his arms outstretched in alarm, in front of a befuddled-looking Charlie Brown, and says, “I don’t understand… the game is ready to start, and you’re still sitting here in your bedroom without your shoes on!”

Along the right side of the final panel is the signature, “SCHULZ.”

Reminds me of the Simpsons gag where Ed Begley, Jr. drives off in a go-cart "powered by my own sense of self-satisfaction."
The go-cart is red and Ed is wearing a helmet that presumably sends the self-satisfaction into the cart's engine as a power source. Background is the bus Marge is leaning out of that has a banner that reads "WE'RE PRO-LEAF."

A modified version of the Haus of Decline strip that was just posted.

Another man in the background, says, "Hey man, we're gonna call 911" and I've modified the following panel to read, "I am a blood-drenched man holding a sack dripping blood," and the final panel has been crudely edited to read, "Oh, shit, you know the Cypher System? Never mind. You're cool."

She becomes a "tradwife" is what I'm guessing…
Very early PEANUTS strip from 1951:

PANEL 1: Violet is walking and holding flowers, saying “I THINK I’LL GIVE THESE FLOWERS TO CHARLIE BROWN.”

PANEL 2: Charlie Brown, seated, says, gruffly, “I CAN’T ACCEPT FLOWERS FROM A GIRL!!”

PANEL 3: Violet says, “HOW WOULD IT BE IF YOU JUST SNATCHED THEM FROM MY HAND?” to which Charlie Brown replies, “WELL…”

PANEL 4: Violet is walking away without the flowers and smiling, “CHARLIE BROWN IS SO MANLY!”
