The Trump coup starts when Speaker Johnson removes House Clerk Kevin McCumber before congress dissolves. A Trump toady clerk will then cite BS and not seat Democrats. Republicans will thus maintain control despite your votes. Ref. newrepublic.com/article/2151... by J. Michael Luttig.

The Final Battle for America’s Democracy

Forget November 3. It’s January 3 when Donald Trump and his MAGA Republicans might bury our democracy once and for all. Here’s how.

It's hot here, but we're cold right now. The A/C keeps us at 72 degrees until we shut it off around 4 PM.

Passing the torch... My son is better GM that I am, but he is also not encumbered by property. So, yet again a great campaign transitions to me, and my PC retires, when he announces "I'm moving to another state." (We generally don't do remote RPG sessions for players, and even less for GMs.)

I just re-read my @miraculousladybug.com.web.brid.gy fanfic screenplay. It is so touching that I almost cried. This is about the fifth edit, but a few tweaks were still needed for clarity. - docs.google.com/document/d/1...

Picture of Marinette DuPain Cheng and Adrien Agreste in formal wear under a streetlight on a snowy night. Her hands are on his shoulders. His hands are at her sides. Header reads 'LADYBUG & CAT NOIR - UNLEASHED'. Footer reads '132 page Fanfic, Screenplay Format'. Sub-footer reads 'By Jim Gettman'

If Democrats regain control of Texas, will they do something about the coal-fired power-plants strung like evil Christmas lights along the northeast state border? Their huge plumes of pollution flowing to downwind states is not very neighborly.

Satellite map one-day snapshot of CO2 concentrations in the Eastern United States. Scorpion-shaped flow from Northeast Texas dominates the image.

To complete the set, Chelsea's mate is Stalk Chopper. They met when he gained 4th level. He was so overconfident that he tried to grab her. Already 6th level, she was unimpressed and scarred his face. They were rivals until he started a brewery in her basement. The beer was good enough.

D&D character sheet for Casan, a level 17 fighter.

Heavily-armored Tabaxi fighter with features of a green-eyed lynx. He's about to eat a rat just dunked in his tankard of beer.

My best D&D PC - Chelsea, the Rogue Ranger, Level 17.

D&D character sheet for a Tabaxi Rogue (11) Ranger (6). Her minimum possible Stealth roll is 25 and she has advantage.

Bad-ass black tabaxi with hands gnarled from abuse as a slave.

I am totally stoked to see the Lucas museum for Narrative Arts opening up. Story writing is declining as an art. It gets little respect or support on the internet. 'Art' sites are image focused. Writing sites are terrible at offering content. Cooperate, folks.

A way to make this @jess-a-creates.bsky.social image into a nice card - 1. Print this image 2-sided with minimal margins 2. Work the next steps with "DON'T" up 3. Cut from the left to the middle along a middle fold 4. Fold flaps over lengthwise 5. Fold bottom half underneath

MY NOTE TO ALEX VINDMAN IN FLORIDA Hi Alex; Sorry for your recent loss. I stopped donating when I learned that you were soft on Israel, calling them a US ally. They are an enemy, every bit as evil as Russia. The best hint at this is how Donald Trump views Israel and Russia.

I made this one-of-a-kind height-adjustable desk for my daughter before laptops were commonplace. She moved out and left it behind, so now I'm selling it on Ebay. It is a bit beat-up, but it still works. All proceeds go to Doctors Without Borders. www.ebay.com/itm/16861009...

Democratic critiques of Blanche miss the point. Yes, he's a shameless partisan, but that cuts both ways. The GOP should have to face that Blanche is SIMPLY BAD at being AG. His bar license is at risk. He has been adjudged a bad actor. He LOSES or FOLDS nearly every case!

Marinette (Ladybug) about to kiss Adrien (Cat Noir), from the end of the first movie, a musical. The link is to a fanfic (non musical) sequel in screenplay format on Google Docs. In it, Marinette loses her powers and memory while Adrien leads The Miraculars in her honor, but don't worry, she planned for this contingency - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ZT6836hEKGdIhk3ASaoYUHAvEjbQ89IydNKxUFCe41o/edit?usp=sharing

Use truesize.net instead of AI BS to see the area and placement of Ukraine and the 3 countries it fights. ~262 million jerks and slaves in the evil triad are getting their asses kicked by ~40 million Ukrainians. It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the corgi.

The two characters that may me the happiest are ones that I get to role-play every other week.

Desert Fox Character Sheet for our Friday Champions game. This OC makes me happy. (She holds the Kit Fox miraculous, a beaded purse.)

Ghost Spider Character Sheet for our Saturday Champions game. This character makes me happy. (She is Marvel IP currently held by Sony Pictures.) Also, I see that she is 5 XP behind the current version - time to do an update.

I am applying to a snobby online RPG that requires original art and forbids AI. I am making my drawings now. I hate it. Digital art tools all suck, but I abandoned paper tools long ago. More power to those that toil away at drawing. They make my world a better place.

I really miss play by post RPG. I'm in 3 FTF games and run 1, (we meet 2/week near LA,) and that's great. I go to 2 gaming cons per year for RPG. I also get into some special games. What I miss most is character emotional development and interplay. That takes too much time and courage face-to-face.

@thomasastruc.bsky.social - Can Adrien please take responsibility for the Agreste business? Basically grow up a little. His life is too much of a pity party. Maybe he could have villain issues, find advice from wise adults, and overcome them? Maybe he could have Marinette design a fashion line?

In the socialist nuthouse that is Los Angeles, apartment owners are selling at fire sale prices. We just reviewed several buildings that would have positive net cash flow on day one, even after we occupy 2 of the units. Even under rent control, we can legally evict at the end of a lease.

Strangely, the cost of used BEVs and PHEVs has not increased in LA. I recently paid $12K for a Leaf and $15K for a Prius. Now we drive 90%+ on home electricity. The hybrid without range anxiety is especially nice. Buy used. Battery life myths are from car and oil companies, not BEV owners.
