Great review here of the revised edition of Prepper’s Home Defense. “Jim Cobb, as I said, is probably my very favorite preparedness author. He’s had an incredibly prolific career, and he is a true expert in the lost art of common sense.” www.theorganicprepper.com/create-a-for...

Anyone who wishes for a total collapse is either delusional, psychotic, or both. The massive death toll alone should give one pause when it comes to wanting it. Yet over and over, I see people on prepper-centric social media seemingly longing for such an event. Talk about Main Character Syndrome....

It isn’t enough to teach children to stand up for themselves. Teach them to stand up for others, especially those who can’t do so themselves. I feel like we’ve become a nation of bystanders, afraid or unwilling to act unless our own safety is threatened. That needs to change.

After careful deliberation, I’ve added a few titles to my Prepper Core Knowledge recommended reading list. Each of these books brings something unique, and I feel essential, to the preparedness home library.

I can't recommend this book highly enough. Laurie Neverman really knocked it out of the park. I consider this to be required reading for anyone interested in #preparedness. And I'd say that even if I hadn't contributed the Foreword. You can find it at Amazon or through any other bookseller.

As preppers, we really need to stop behaving as though this whole endeavor is an “us versus them” concept. Every day, more and more people begin their own preparedness journey. If you aren't willing to be a helpful guide, at least don't stand in the way as a roadblock.

Preppers: the normies never listen to us when we try to educate them about disaster planning! Also preppers: gravity is gonna totally disappear for a few seconds this month. Might want to buy some duct tape to keep from floating away. This is why we can't have nice things.
