All three major international credit ratings have now affirmed Australia’s AAA credit rating since the Budget, with Moody's and S&P confirming this in the last two months as well.

Fitch praised the Government's efforts to reduce the budget deficit, including putting the NDIS on a more sustainable footing, and noted Australia’s growth outlook ‘exceeds the growth outlook for ‘AAA’-rated peers’.

Commencements and completions are both up in these figures but were both falling when we came to office. Dwelling commencements were up 7% in the June quarter to be 14.4% higher in annual terms, and completions were up 5.8% in the quarter to be 15.9% higher in annual terms.

As part of the pay rise, centres have to limit fee increases for parents. Our changes will save the average family about $1,500 over the next two years. In our local community, it also means a well earned pay rise for at least 1200 early childhood education and care workers.
