Nice statement. The SMH ran an oped today that missed the deadline for The Royal Commission into the Hurt Feelings of Genocidal Psychopaths:
Sydney Morning Herald Op Ed by a ‘Sydney doctor’ claiming to be upset at the anti-IDF protests during the Sydney Marathon. The author carefully neglects to mention the presence of active service members of the IDF in the race.

Yes indeed - the only American entertainer to present the correct perspective was the late Anthony Bourdain:

Pencils are nice and all, but the Queen of stationery is the PU-80 hole punch.

Crowbar has created the perfect penalty (albeit a tad harsh on General Zod)

Well rheumatogy still possess antediluvian attitudes. People with autoimmune illness become overweight/obese because of the illness (as movement/exercise becomes more painful) not the other way around! How stupid can intelligent people be?

I find this graph helps (the streaming soundwave is even more blocky). One skips tracks by lifting the stylus - gets easy after some practice

Certainly curious though - my favourite concerns the Human Hedgehog (if you ever think you’re having a bad day)

There’s a common misconception that hell is hotter than heaven. The reverse is shown below (from Curious Facts by John May, 1981)

Sir Desmond Glazebrook would like a word (and a role at the NACC).

Andrew Podger? The same Andrew Podger that nobly, nay selflessly, carried the 2000 Olympics torch on behalf of all public servants? (australiainstitute.org.au/wp-content/u...)

Here’s hoping the Greenlanders have read His Dark Materials and have a few Armoured Bears handy.

I don’t count, and I was very, very late to this one, but His Dark Materials, Northern Lights, by Philip Pullman. Easily the best book I’ve read for some time. A proper ‘chosen one’ heroine (no Paul Artreides nonsense here), and a villain for the ages (I now avoid Coulter Drive in my hometown)

Sharri Markson you say? The same Sharri Markson to be seen here rolling in the healthful, albeit stolen, Dead Sea Mud on an Israeli junket? Well I never!

Some election related material for the Tintin fans. Art by Glenn Smith
Parody cover of a Tintin book. Called Tintin in Canberra it features Tintin and Haddock as a Booner and Bogan accosting a bemused Tony Abbott in front of Parliament House.
