Without downloading new pics what is it like dating you?

Jill Harrington @jillithe.bsky.social · 10/03/2026

Not at GDC but #WhatAGameDevLooksLike I've been a technical animator for almost 25 years. I've worked at Turbine Games, Blizzard, BioWare and now Motive. I've done everything from rigging to coding to bloody dismemberment effects. Also, hair. My new glasses are cute!

A selfie of a middle aged chubby white woman with short wavy blonde hair. She is wearing cute glasses. Also a red shirt, which could mean nothing.

Another incredibly beautiful flower today. This one is a little different but still lovely!

I've also picked all these berries today. That's right, I'm a tradwife.

The blooms I have in the back are pretty gorgeous too.

I can't comprehend how beautiful this flower is.

I finally started Metaphor Re Fantazio because it was too hot out not to stay in the basement all afternoon.

I've had this little lady for 13 years today!

Uh. No. The way to talk about it is to say HELL NO. List the many reasons why. Have people call in to explain why Canada is a sovereign country and why that's good, actually.

They're supposed to break it down further, but I doubt the data gathered was all that thorough or precise.

Jill Harrington @jillithe.bsky.social · 07/02/2025

There must be some big outliers in the US software engineer field..? Here's the data for even more senior SEs in Canada. Not that they probably have complete data if it's self reported.

Jill Harrington @jillithe.bsky.social · 07/02/2025

They're clearly looking at US-based programmers for their estimates. We artists/animators are not in the same luxurious boat :/

000

Jill Harrington @jillithe.bsky.social · 02/02/2025

The last product I will knowingly buy from the US if I can help it is this t-shirt. I think it's a good choice.

My hardy orchids are also coming out of the ground! But a cat tried to eat them immediately. Oh dang, one of them has a bunch of buds!! Dude, it's only just February.

Doggo update: she was doing great but realized she hadn't cost me hundreds of dollars in the past few weeks so had some digestive upset and misery. Now that more money has been donated to the emergency vet, she is happy, yet obviously starving.

Salted Mushroom Porter and Cheetos & Chill IPA. The iPA has no Cheetos notes beyond the rim, but both are good.

Spicy dill pickle Caesar pilsner - oddly drinkable, and the pickle itself was really good!

Lemon Meringue IPA. Good, but not weird?

Wow, I've been added to a list of people who aren't big on shoving "AI" into everything because I'm "not informed". Obviously, if you're Informed, you must be fine with having every app and program trying to get you to useb predictive algorithms instead of your own art or writing or research.

You know... this kind of lines up. uquiz.com/quiz/dr6j3M/... #uquiz

A screenshot of quiz results from the "Which Dragon Age character are you?" uquiz. There is an image of the character Lucanis Dellamorte. The text reads: You've been through a lot. I mean that. However it is not the end. You find it hard to trust someone, but it is worth a try. Open up and there is a person out there willing to listen. Also, sleep is your friend and two cups of coffee a day is actually enough.

I have no idea how YouTube Music gets its data because this is dramatically incorrect (I'm sure I spent all summer listening to Fleetwood Mac Silver Springs on repeat) but these ARE bangers that I did listen to.

Screenshot of my supposed most listened-to tracks of 2024 from YouTube Music: Black River by Blanka, Flyers by BRADIO, Sacrifice by 9mm Parabellum Bullet (I don't even know what this is from), Hologram by NICO Touches the Walls, and Rivers in the Desert by Lyn.

Screenshot showing my supposed top listened-to musical artists of 2024: Sarah McLachlan, Lyn, Lord Huron, Hiroyuki SAWANO (this is definitely wrong. I looked him up ONCE), and Flewtwood Mac.

May I offer one of the cutest pictures ever taken of my dog (aged 13)

A photograph of a small white and ginger dog, probably a terrier mix. The dog is standing up with her front paws out, probably trying to lick the photographer's face.

This is pretty impressive. I'm sure the average unaware person who is curious about reviews will definitely not think anything is suspicious about the discrepancy in scores here.

Get to know me: This is how I spend part of my workdays. (OK, usually they take turns, because Shin Cat hates Lap Cat)

The audio and music is gorgeous and uplifting. The "Journey" mode can be entirely stress-free. Some research indicates that playing Tetris may help with PTSD (web search for reputable sources). I played this a ton during quarantine...
