I need to disconnect for a few days. All my love to folks being reminded of too many things. Be kind to yourselves, be gentle to yourselves. ♥️

Paper draft has reached “print it out so I can figure out what’s still missing/what figures print badly” stage! All sections have text in complete sentences ✨💪

I hope Jane Doe can, eventually, find some peace. I imagine it will take a while. This week I have been remembering an experience in college where “nothing happened”. A near miss, I was merely lucky. Even those “nothing happened” stories stick to you; the allegations made here are horrific.

You know, I wouldn’t have thought it would be so hard to find tall sweaters made from natural fibers, but here I am staring at one shop with import taxes or making my own. The internet is failing me.

Writing is something I do in my weekends and spare hours, because I love it and I like to play with language while I’m learning new things. None of these books have any touch of AI to them. If you have read them, thank you!

The image is of a four panel comic.
In the first panel we see Sarah, the protagonist, next to a stick figure labeled “AI”. The stick figure says, “my outputs look just like yours now.”
The second panel zooms in on Sarah’s face. Above her we see text reading “I think”.
The third panel zooms in closer on Sarah’s face. Text above her reads “you missed”.
The fourth panel shows Sarah drawing happily in a sunlit room. The text above her reads “the point”.

Update: first chain stitch start was too high a tension, pulled it out three rows in, tried again (much better), I lost a stitch, and I’m much more practiced at the double crochet stitch.

I’ve had a weird day but I also have a new crochet hook, some yarn that’s been sitting around since JoAnns liquidated, a pattern that will take less than two years to complete, and the confidence I can figure out how to read it.

Wow: Giant new impact crater spotted on the Moon! An asteroid the size of an apartment building hit the lunar surface in early 2024 & created 220-meter (730-foot) wide McGetchin crater. It's "the largest contemporary impact crater found in the Solar System." 🧪🔭 science.nasa.gov/solar-system...
Officially named McGetchin after pioneering lunar scientist Tom McGetchin, the crater formed on the Moon’s eastern edge sometime between April 11 and May 22, 2024, after a comet or asteroid the size of a three- to six-story building hit the surface.

The crash left a crater, 728 feet wide, that spans the length of two football fields. And at 141 feet deep, the crater could fit three vertically stacked yellow school buses. Scientists estimate that an impact of this magnitude happens on the Moon about once in a century or even longer.
