I survived a tree falling on my house. The maple tree was 2 1/2 feet in diameter and my house was about 800 square feet. It landed right in the center of the kitchen. PTSD is real. I'm new to this area. Isaias is coming. I wish I had something for anxiety. So many windows. So many trees.

I'm going through a lot, right now. On the 18th, it will be 10 years since my husband proposed to me. It will also be 1 year since we made it official. It's our first anniversary since he died. And as the day gets closer, I feel a creeping doom. I miss my best friend. So much.

Sometimes I type my husband's name into chatGPT so it'll tell me how well liked and witty he was. It makes me feel good that his legacy lives on. I was so lucky that we found each other in this crazy world. I miss him so damned much. It's been 10 months. Fuck Cancer.

The internet made things so much worse and so much better for kids of the late 90s and 00s. Online bullying and stalking had to suck. But, they had this boundless source to help them research without needing to go to the library, which wasn't always easy back in my day. Kids, today, though.......

I installed a complete repair kit on our toilet this morning! It wasn't flushing properly and when I tried to adjust the float it broke off. I discovered that the tank-to-bowl seal was rotten, too. So, it's just as well I got the complete kit instead of just fixing the float and fill valve.
