The Aer Isles is a young nation composed mostly of deepfolk in a tropical archipelago. When the players camp, roll a d4. On a 1, and all wetlands and shores in the region are flooded.
The nation is ruled by the Champion Of The Isles, whose bloodline grants the power to control the weather. The champion’s brother, with the support of Vallen mercenaries, assassinated the champion and seized the throne. 3 nobles rose the isles in rebellion together.
Gier, leader of Split Isle, wants the others dead so they can be the champion.
Mimat, the dead Champion's spoiled 14 year old heir. They are terrified.
Radni, The Thane who is in charge of the fleet. His goal is to form a council.
Radni won a key naval battle by proving one of the former champion’s royal bastards could control the weather. Now the war revolves around controlling and assassinating royal bastards.
Farmers will be harvesting unique seaweeds from rivers and milling it into bread bowls.
A traveling theatre or minstrel ship may be performing off shore or ships may be racing.
A giant lizard pulls rafts upriver, and clothes are made of its molted scales.
Rural homes have a vegetable and berry garden, firewood, clothes on a line, barrels of preserved food, fermenting berry wine, fishing equipment, tools, a bronze hooked spear, wooden shield, short bow, and flint arrows. Wealthier homes and guard posts may have seashell armour.
