To be fair some HD employees know their stuff - like guys in the electrical aisle or something. And some know the store really well. But it's hit or miss, and the app is the fallback option. (I'll plug Baller Hardware in LA, my local hardware store. Great old style place that has a solid inventory.)

Also one tip when I'm at Home Depot I use the app to search at it will tell you right where that item is in the store...). Often way easier than finding help.

Yes all true. Googling almost anything for advice on a subject now leads to endlessly repetative crap articles written by AI. It's terrible. Even in YouTube a ton of it is AI characters blabbering on about cooking steaks or whatever. (At least I've seen YouTube labels AI content...)

Listened to Ezra Klein's interview with the CEO of Nvidia who INSISTED the recent concerns about AI from Amodei etc were wrong and dangerous, and man that guy is a jerk. Infuriating to listen to. Had to stop.
