Oh hey, I guess they DO read these. I got 15 minutes to spare to talk about why I hate "AI". I usually do that for free anyway!
Gallup Panel – Be Heard

Current Events Survey

Dear JAY,
We would like to invite you to participate in a special poll asking people about a variety of important topics about how things are going in the US and people's lifestyles.

This survey will be conducted by telephone, and you will be receiving a phone call from an interviewer sometime in the next few weeks. It will take 10 to 15 minutes to complete the survey. If the interviewer calls at a time that is not convenient for you, you can schedule a time for them to call back.

Usually I don't have much use for the "comments" section on Gallup surveys, but this was a topic I felt very strongly about.
A comments box for a Gallup survey.

"If you have any additional thoughts you'd like to share about this survey, you may provide your comments here."

In the box I've typed: "Why the hell do you put "Almost Never" as a choice and not just "Never"? Because I NEVER use "AI", I NEVER will use "AI", and gas-lighting me will NEVER convince me to use "AI", which is a trillion dollar Ponzi scheme built on data-centers destroying the environment to run shitty plagiarism algorithms for the benefit of turning photos into kiddie porn to sell to pedophiles on what used to be called Twitter.

Also, I'm more than willing to do a phone interview on this topic if needed. Call me. =)"

I have to wonder if the reason Flowery harasses Ralsei is because if Flowery treated Susie like this all story more people would (hopefully) recognize this as sexual harassment. Ralsei being even less human looking than Susie combined with being male obfuscates how disgusting Flowery's behavior is.
Flowery floating in place. He's grabbed Susie by her chin and tilted her head upwards so she has to look him in the eye.

"Don't you LIKE serving humans...?" he says with a smile.

J. Gray Dingler @jgraydingler.bsky.social · 12/09/2026
And of course, Ralsei is very insistent on trying to save Flowery's life, unconcerned with even attempting to pursue the Knight or saving Asgore. And Susie also isn't interested those things. The narrative demands we feel sad this abusive person who failed to heed a warning from his victim, died.
Flowery is dead.

In the boss fight, attacking Flowery prompts Susie to insist on protecting him with healing magic, causing Ralsei to do the same. This feels like a toxic friend convincing a victim to stay with their abuser. It wasn't for a moral reason, as later Susie sends Kris to attack Flowery with their sword.
Flowery during his boss fight floating in awkward position after being attacked. Susie has fired her healing magic in his direction.

J. Gray Dingler @jgraydingler.bsky.social · 12/09/2026
And then there's this scene. After doing this, Flowery will say "I'm just trying to help you," and that he wanted Ralsei to realize he can be happy. This is full-on super villain shit, yet the only condemnation is a uncharacteristically meek "he's a jerk' from Susie once Flowery is out of earshot.
Flowery is floating in place above Ralsei, both his hands grabbing his head from under his chin, forcing him onto his toes to look up at Flowery.
"Don't you LIKE serving humans...?"

I feels like this is set-up to give plausible deniability about Flowery sexually harassing Ralsei with this image. He didn't directly send it, the vouchers aren't needed to get it, but they do direct you here, you're not told what it is, and can't buy more TP boosting drinks without buying it too.
The key item menu in Deltarune. The item "BromideR" is selected. It's description reads: "Good night, sweet prince" USE this item to observe it.

J. Gray Dingler @jgraydingler.bsky.social · 12/09/2026
The previous scene ends with Flowery gifting Ralsei drink vouchers. These are redeemed at a machine that sells only one of each drink before offering an item labeled "My Secret". That item is a drawing of Flowery wearing a fetish version of Ralsei's clothes while sitting on a Ralsei doll.
Flowery drawn as he appears in his anime intro cutscene, but wearing a version of Ralsei's costume that has a heart cut-out in the fabric over his chest. He's sitting on top of a stuffed doll that looks like Ralsei.

Artist unknown.

J. Gray Dingler @jgraydingler.bsky.social · 12/09/2026
The other segment has Flowery alone with Ralsei. In contrast to other scenes, Flowery is suddenly incredibly complimentary of Ralsei, calling him kind and loving. This is a common technique, undermine your victim's self-esteem then flatter them in private, connecting their self-worth to the abuser.
"Heh. You've got a kind and loving heart, Raly." Flowery tells Ralsei while they're alone.
110
J. Gray Dingler @jgraydingler.bsky.social · 12/09/2026
In the castle, Flowery casually suggests he knows Kris made the dark fountain and is a bad person. He points out Ralsei hasn't told Susie, suggesting he's also a bad person. As Flowery doesn't seem to tell her either, this appears to be blackmail to create distance between Ralsei and his friends.
Flower hangs upside down by a vine in between Ralsei and Kris.

"... the one who MADE this Dark Fountain..." he says while looking at Kris.
100
J. Gray Dingler @jgraydingler.bsky.social · 12/09/2026
And again I question why it was decided for the narrative to not let us express our concerns for these things. On a very basic level we're not even allowed to think Flowery is annoying without Ralsei, the person he's bullying at best, feeling bad and basically telling us to feel bad for thinking it.
"Oh, no. I shouldn't be glad to hear that. That's..." says Ralsei after Kris telling him that they think Flowery sucks.
100
J. Gray Dingler @jgraydingler.bsky.social · 12/09/2026
This is why I ask about your hiring practices and wonder if someone on your team deliberately set up these "jokes" to normalize predatory behavior. Ralsei's objections are always framed as him being unreasonable and his reasons seem purposefully pedantic to sidestep disturbing implications.
"Is anyone listening?" says Ralsei after it was made painfully clear that no one will listen to him.
100
J. Gray Dingler @jgraydingler.bsky.social · 12/09/2026
There are multiple jokes in this section that involve ignoring consent. Flowery can say "Rules are just a suggestion," getting a game over has him say he only kissed (did CPR) on the group's cheeks while unconscious, and after making two people kiss, Susie will add how "cool" she thinks it was.
"Rules are just a suggestion." says Flowery while holding a cup."I'm a gentleman, so I only did CPR's on your cheek." says Flowery after explaining he carried their unconscious bodies into beds.Flowery is holding two Floradinns over his head causing them to kiss. Susie also looks very surprised by this."WAS pretty cool how he beat those guys though." said Susie, referring to Flowery making two Floradinns kiss. Her sprite also has a big smile on her face.
100
J. Gray Dingler @jgraydingler.bsky.social · 12/09/2026
Neither the player or Ralsei are allowed to voice concerns. The only time Ralsei asks Kris what they think of Flowery, there are two options to like him and one to say he sucks, the latter has Ralsei saying he shouldn't enjoy hearing that and suggests both Kris and him should try to like Flowery.
"K-Kris... perhaps we should try to... like him?" says Ralsei after choosing "He sucks" when Ralsei asked Kris what he thought of Flowery.
100
J. Gray Dingler @jgraydingler.bsky.social · 12/09/2026
We find Flowery has given Susie a ribbon she likes and juice Flowery says is made from his "flesh". This feels like a textbook scenario for potential risks: -A stranger separating someone from their friends. -Giving them gifts despite just meeting. -Drinking from an open container given to them.
Susie is wearing a large spike ribbon gifted to her by Flowery and holding a cup.
"Fruit punch. Flowery made it. Want some?" says Susie.
"You're eating my flesh." says Flowery.
110
J. Gray Dingler @jgraydingler.bsky.social · 12/09/2026
This comes after Flowery literally stomps Ralsei into the dirt and trying to talk to him has Flowery mock his attempts to speak by continuing to silence him. He then picks up two flowers and makes them kiss each other, for which they're grateful and call him master.
Ralsei has been stomped into the ground, so that only his hat is visible. A yellow flower is grown out at the top of his hat, with a jumbled talk balloon emerging from it, showing he's trying to speak. Flowery gestures at Ralsei, causing another yellow flower to grow out of the talk balloon. When Susie asks if Ralsei is okay, Flowery answers: "His is now."
100
J. Gray Dingler @jgraydingler.bsky.social · 12/09/2026
After Flowery shoves Ralsei in a closet labelled "unnecessary" and forces him to dress and look a way he doesn't like, Susie will elect to hangout with the stranger hurting her friend, at which point he creates obstacles to keep her friends away and offers the player a way to remove Ralsei's voice.
Kris and Ralsei, who has been forced to wear a hat that changes his appearance to how he looked in Chapter 1, stand in front of Flowery.

"Kris, be careful not to turn off RALSEIs in the thingy."
120
J. Gray Dingler @jgraydingler.bsky.social · 12/09/2026
Ralsei is consistently harassed by Flowery and his complaints ignored by friends, which are paired with scenes that seem to make light of common situations where predators take advantage of people. These feel arranged in a way to make the audience more dismissive of red flags of a sexual predator.
Kris, Ralsei and Susie standing outside a cabinet Ralsei emerged from. After Ralsei calls Flowery stupid for shoving him in the cabinet, Susie tilts her back, laughs and says: "Wait, Ralsei, since when were YOU such a hater!?"

From the recent Verge article Will threw a fit over, in which he reportedly also ran red lights and went the wrong way down a one way into incoming traffic. If he ends up accidentally killing someone while playing hero, I'm confident he could live with that on his conscience too.
This was one of those slow days that made the whole thing feel futile. We drove in circles in search of ICE and saw nothing, a stillness that implied they were active elsewhere, in another neighborhood or a nearby suburb, even if they weren’t here.

And then he saw the Silverado. I noticed it before he did but wasn’t sure it was the same car — the one he described was green, and this one was a sort of blue, so I said nothing. The Silverado turned left and we turned right and that’s when Stancil saw it. We were in backed-up traffic on a busy two-way road, which Stancil pulled a U-turn in the middle of to get us where we needed to be. The Silverado sped through a light we couldn’t run without getting T-boned, so we waited impatiently as we watched it get away. When the light turned green, Stancil cut off another car in an attempt to catch up. “He’ll think I’m awful rude,” he said, “but that’s okay. I can live with that on my conscience.”

I got the beautiful oil painting in New Orleans in 2017 directly from its artist, Gustavo Trujillo. He gave me his card and the measurements needed to frame it. And it only took me eight and half years to actually frame it!
An oil painting of tall trees covered in red, orange and yellow leaves creating walls of bright autumn foliage parted by a purple and blue trail of shallow water reflecting the scenery. Standing at the end is a pair of silhouetted figures standing together under a single umbrella held by the shorter one.

Also! Stop caving to the sense that you’re somehow not allowed to say true things because you’re not supposed to contradict people’s lived experience or whatever. This is the problem: the left-of-center has locked itself in a box where it won’t contest certain ideas and the other side figures it out

Stop trying to contort yourself into a pretzel so that you can feel sympathetic to the people who are saying everything is a nightmare. Most of those people aren’t suffering, they’re brainwashed by media or lying. By refusing to disagree with them you’re manifesting their delusions in the real world

It’s that inability to stand up and say “No, sorry, this is nuts” that is really killing us. Someone says “The working class is getting crushed” and we always start our response with “I know, definitely, I hear you” - but the entire premise is a stupid lie or TikTok delusion. Stop flattering itWill Stancil‬ - @whstancil.bsky.social‬ - 10d

Fun fact: most people have no good way to tell if inflation is moderate or low or nonexistent, and that means their experience of inflation is almost entirely mediated through social narratives they encounter in politics/media.

You can literally create or disprove inflation for most people by cherry-picking a couple goods that have taken the price trajectory you prefer and talking about them a bunch. If the person finds you politically synaptic they will nod along enthusiastically.

People are dunking on this bit but he's right. "Sesame noodles" isn't the kind of meal you eat everyday for a week or meal prep. At most you're eating this once a week. And with this approach to grocery shopping, you have to multiply this shopping load by seven to cover a week.

The key is finding recipes with mix and match ingredients that aren't so specific to a meal. If something requires chili peppers or fish sauce or cilantro—I'm not making it. At least not unless it's an event.

If you care about helping people eat well from home, you should advice them about how to prep one ingredient proteins and veggies that taste good with salt/pepper/butter/olive oil.

Zeus, Master of the Gods, depicted as a man with dark wild hair, a massive beard and a thick mustache. He's seated in the very sky itself, with his right hand raised to wield a specter and his left arm casually resting atop a nearby cloud.

A third hand is stroking his chin, which belongs to a woman lying in his lap. She's nude expect for her golden crown, necklace, bangles and bracelet.

To the right, a mighty bird resembling a golden eagle looks towards Zeus with a steely readiness. To the left barely poking in past the frame, some lesser god is clinging to a cloud as if they're too passive to call to Zeus and are patiently waiting for him to notice them.

Artist unknown: Credited to "Photo Explorer Archives" circa 1992.

It's great having weird hobbies.

Makes sense. They DID steal your content for that fundraising email after all so I get wanting payback.

I also want to point out Will is 40 (like everyone on this website). I mention it because I think his unusually youthful appearance combined with his childish lashing out gives people the impression he's a young twenty-something still figuring things out. But no, he's a middle-aged man.

Below his name is an image of Will from 2024 seated at a table.

His birthday is listed as July 16, 1985, making him 40 at the time of positing this.

Is that why you deleted this? To stop the downward spiral? Do you actually feel bad you said this? Cause if you did, and I think you should, here's a simple situation: apologize. Tell the people who don't want you to be their group, you're sorry you said you were going to sneak back in.

I mean I'm gonna get back in even if they don't know it, so it's fine

He deleted this post not long ago, so that's not helping. I haven't seen anyone call him rapist either. I have seen plenty of people, myself included, point out this disgusting disregard of CONSENT and REFUSING to take no as an answer reminds people of how rapists act.

You are a liar and everyone should know it. You went and deleted this because even in your maniac self-pitying, you realized PUBLICLY ANNOUNCING your intent to FORCE your way back into a group that expelled you for refusing to cooperate is a heinous thing to say. And now you're playing victim.

I'm conflicted. On the one hand, it's WONDERFUL that's she's not posting right now. What a precious moment of serenity in these troubling times. BUT, on the other hand, if she DID start posting again RIGHT now...

This is beyond silly. Neither I, nor anybody on my team, ever met, communicated with or invited Jeffrey Epstein to anything.

The Dude, Donny and Walter from the Big Lebowski sitting at a bar in a bowling alley. Walter is saying something and there's a talk balloon coming from him that extends past the bottom of the image.

Also I know in this scene Walter's complaining about nihilists, but I think the OP makes a good point about how this somehow feels even lower than cruel nihilism.

Man, you were WAY nicer than me. This is what I said. =P
J. Gray Dingler - @JGrayDingler

Like most women-hating sacks of shit, Will has no respect for boundaries or CONSENT.

He's the main character of the movie he's playing in his diluted mind and anyone who stands in the way of his starring role as the hero is his enemy.
