Another DVD/Bluray haul - HMV, CEX, & eBay. A word of advice If you are buying from high street charity shops check that the right film is in the box before you hand over your £1.50.

I’ve just been outed as a fake fan in the supermarket. “You’re just wearing that because you think it’s cool”, said a Radio6 dad, “Probably never heard of them. If you’re such a fan, what’s the B-side of their 3rd single”. @offregisterhq.bsky.social @williampotter.com can you help? with the answer?

My haul from yesterday’s High Vis Festival in Kings Heath. How fab is it to have a comic con on your local high street? Highlight of the day was a Mark Millar Q&A in All Saints Church. Thanks to all involved in a well organised and fun event. Roll on next year.

Nice idea. I have the 1st 12 books of the Complete Case Files so I may pick up some later volumes. Wonder if this makes ‘The Cursed Earth’ the most reprinted UK comic story ever?

Rewatched the Technicolor noir, Leave her to Heaven, the other night and my favourite scene is right at the beginning when Cornel Wilde gets out of the boat with his flies undone.

Here’s my haul from Saturdays @arcfestivallondon.bsky.social I had the most fabulous of days there mooching the aisles hoovering up all these glorious comics and zines. Tip of the hat to the organisers for putting on an amazing line-up of talent. Can’t wait for the next one.

Going to try my best to get to this. It's looks fabulous and there are loads of intriguing exhibitors I've not seen before. Hopefully the coach will have air conditioning and I can get back to Brum for the footie.

RIP #MichaelKeating 'the funny one' and my instantly favourite in Blake's 7 when I was a kid. Rewatching as an adult you see his ingenious performance bringing an edge of reality to things, his cleverness, and often being the conscience of the gang.

Time to give this a rinse. I only remember watching the final series on transmission so this will be all new to me. Having just watched Sapphire & Steel I’m really in the mood for some dark, talky 80s sci-fi. Hope it lives up to its reputation.

What a delight this was. A new print of the curate’s egg that is the TV movie with by a Q&A with Paul McGann (& surprise host @drmatthewsweet.bsky.social). McGann was charming and full of love for of the show. ‘Would he play the Doctor again on TV?’, of course he would and we’d love to see it too.

Coffee outside on a lovely sunny morning listening to birdsong. As I look out over the garden my mind turns not to the serenity of the moment or how fortunate I am to be surrounded by the wonder of nature, no, my mind turns to more pressing matters - I really need to buy a new peg bag.

What’s happened this week? A new train station opened down the road. I can now get into the city in 15 mins. Saw Death on the Nile at the theatre and binged on Christie TV. Listened to a lot of Japan (reacquainting with the superb Oil on Canvas) and my divorce was finalised, which was nice.

One of the fun things about 'Project Hail Mary' is that there are parts of the soundtrack that resemble the music in the 1982 Moomins TV show.

Really enjoyed seeing Maggie Gyllenhaal’s THE BRIDE! On Saturday. It’s a neo-noir monster road movie that’s kind of like a Rocky Horror Bonnie & Clyde. I found it very ‘comic book’ too which added to my overall enjoyment. It easily could have been a Vertigo mini-series or a lost chapter of Sin City.
