Indeed, Francine! I hope all is well with you. I’ve been really enjoying the baseball playoffs. Good games, mostly. And who knows when we’ll have baseball again next year. ☮️

Despite what I said with reference to the Chelsea Janes post, there’s this. #MetsSky #Mets

Yup, Ceetar, there’s that.

One more thing about Joe DeMayo’s X post below. As Mets fans, we sometimes focus on the players that leave the Mets and do better. This is a case of flipping that narrative. These players performed better as Mets. It would be interesting to know why. #MetsSky #Mets

Well said, Francine. My thanks to you all your posts about the Mets, and art! I hope the Knicks give you a good season again. Yup, until next season! ⚾️☮️

Dear David Stearns: While ⚾️ is a business for you, for us, it’s entertainment. It’s supposed to be fun. Winning counts, but doesn’t happen yearly even for the best. So the players matter. We want to root for the players we love, not necessarily the same ones the stat bots like. #MetsSky #Mets

Well that was fun! Zac is an exciting prospect. Great to see the hot bats. Lindor now 1 shy of 300 HRs. Again, it’s amazing to me how much more fun & exciting this season has been since the trade deadline. I hope Mr Stearns doesn’t kill the buzz with the off season moves. #MetsSky #Mets

Is one of the lessons from this year that, in the past, the Mets have been too timid in promoting minor leaguers to the Show? Their hand was forced this year. But if the season had gone as planned, most of these terrific rookies would still be in the minors. Just wondering.🤔 #Mets #MetsSky

I know you can’t go home again, & it’s folly to try to remanufacture magic. And I’m not usually big on nostalgia. But seeing & hearing José Iglesias brings back fond memories of those winning, happy, fun OMG Mets. Good times, man, good times. #MetsSky #Mets

Sometimes, hearing Mets players or a manager tip their hat to the winner gets under my skin, esp tipping to a pitching rookie or lightweight hitter. But tonight tipping the hat to Tatis is ok. Robbing the Slam was heroic. A foot further & the Mets win. That’s baseball, Susan. #MetsSky #Mets

This little streak has been a surprise, crazy, exciting, & fun! Not perfect baseball, but good, exciting baseball. The Kid Mets are really entertaining are hopefully growing a new clubhouse culture from the ashes of this season. Wherever we are, it’s better than where we’ve been! #MetsSky #Mets

It’s ok to disagree, Zero. I appreciate where you’re coming from.

BTW, I am NOT one of those who are want the Mets to tank for the sake of a high draft pick. I want hard, gritty baseball every game & a clubhouse culture of fighting hard. That will be more valuable to future success than a high-selection prospect.

Wow. I know we’re not going to the post-season. But since the trade deadline the fun factor in watching these younger, hungrier Mets & reborn vets is soooooooo much better. The fun is like a long, cool drink after a trip thru a desert of a season thru Aug 6. #MetsSky #Mets

As I’ve said often, I love Howie Rose, & I’ll miss him a ton. That said, Keith Raad has really hit his stride this season IMO. And the time on the road together has really helped Keith & Pat McCarthy gel. Plus we have our beloved Maj in the booth too! Mets listeners, our future is bright! 🙂 #Mets

Nice game! There are teams that it’s satisfying to beat without regard to circumstances, & for me, the Braves are at the top of this list. Dodgers, Yanks, & Phils round out my list. Zac, TT, & Francisco shined tonight. Fun. #Mets #MetsSky

Please let’s don’t trade Tyrone Taylor. He plays an important role on this team, & has proven he can play in NYC. Remember, you still need to try to put a winning team together post trade deadline. I feel the same way about Luis Torrens. God knows this team will need clutch hitting. #Mets #MetsSky

I hope the worst of this season is over for fans. No playoffs for us. But, the trade deadline should be interesting re FO lessons learned, if any. + We can enjoy watching some great young players develop. A glimpse of a better future w/o the baggage of this year’s expectations. #MetsSky #Mets

Yes, I’m well, thx. Too much life for the time I have, but no room for complaint except for ⚾️. It’s usually a source of Summer joy for me, but not this year. I’m still listening to every game this year, but honestly, it’s work sometimes. I hope you’re well too, & you can enjoy these beautiful days.
