Slowly working on this whisky still life in procreate. Digital work is very challenging for me. I tend to get tunnel vision since I have the ability to hyper zoom. #whisky #art #digitalart #procreate

A step outside my normal style. An homage to some of the pinup painting greats. #pinup #painting #portrait #legs #heels #oilpainting #art

Ah crap. I started a new painting instead working on the dozens of unfinished projects haunting me from the other room. #painting #oilpainting #art #wip #workinprogress #hand #painter

Feeling like I’m nearing the end of this one. Some work to do on the floor and I think I’m calling it. #diner #booth #nightscene #art #painting #oilpainting #artist #wip #workinprogress

Vincent Price in progress. Originally started about 2 years ago. I picked it up again last month and hope to finish it this year. #vincentprice #masterofhorror #art #wip #workinprogress #painting #portrait #portraitart #oilpainting

Another one from way back. I grew very fond of alcohol based markers and have used them for a long time now. Sometimes for test projects before the real painting. Sometimes as completed works on their own. #marker #art #artwork #eye #eyestudy #copics #copic #contemporary

One from the archives. It used to be that I took on as many pet portrait commissions as I could. Theses days it’s less and less, though I do love to do them for friends and family. This is Smalls. He’s not small. #portrait #portraitart #painting #petportrait #gouache #dog #goodboy

Made this shirt design tonight. So you can let everyone know you’re a runner without having to say a word. #run #runner #ramones

Small 4”x6” black skull study. This was a fun little project from January. Trying to find the point of just enough information. #painting #oilpainting #skull #art #artist #artwork

2 very different underpaintings for upcoming projects. Always feels good to get a layer of something down. #painting #wip #workinprogress #oilpainting #underpainting

Always wanted to paint Bill and Ted. Finally started 2 years ago and never got around to finishing it.

Portrait study from December of Tattooer Shige. This was full of challenges that I didn’t fully overcome. His face had very slight shadows and contrast, which still need a little refining. And obviously his chest full of tattoos was barely addressed in this session. #painting #portrait #oilpainting

A work in progress from several years ago that still hasn’t been finished. I like the composition of this one so much, but haven’t been able to bring myself to pick it up. #painting #oilpainting #hand #painter #art #artist #artwork #tattoos
