I guess my only 'unhinged' #TTRPG opinion is that I don't enjoy anthropomorphic/ animal-headed races.

James IV @jfdgiv.bsky.social · 30/07/2025

Don't get me wrong; I enjoy Bluesky and would never go back to the other place, but I do find it funny that my 'Following' screen and my 'Discover' screen are basically the same posts just in a different order.

RPG tip from the archive: Puzzles and riddles are like tapping out songs with your finger. They're totally obvious to you and no one else has any idea what you're talking about. #dnd #ttrpg

So, this is supposed to be a sentient sword of pure evil for an upcoming gaming session. It hasn't been washed, but.. I feel like it's missing something? Maybe a rune in brass or something on the hilt? Any advice from the expert mini painters out there would be welcome! #ttrpg #minis #painting

It seems to me that getting deplatformed because people don’t want to be associated with your bigotry and thugishness is what “failing in the marketplace of ideas” looks like.

Now go back to your base color and do the same thing with that "mascara" pass, creeping up to but not quite covering all of that darker paint you used to cover that excess white Now you're ready for washes (careful of the eyes!) and dry brushing Hey! You did great!

I just realized, with not a small amount of surprise, that now that it's a new year - my birthday will be coming up again in the next few months. Is.. is this an old thing? Or just a new level of scatterbrained I've achieved?

Just for fun, and to add some content, I've decided to share some of the minis I've painted since I got into the hobby. I'll do it daily for a month? Or till I forget, more likely. Anyway, here is Day 1:

A painted miniature of an undead looking viking with greenish skin, hunched posture, and tattered clothes holding a large axe.
