One good thing (Following the idea from @bougainvillea ) Today I beat my best time on Tony Hawks Underground 2 classic mode normal difficulty by more than 3 minutes! It can be a really frustrating hobby (speed running), so it's a good idea to enjoy "the high" :D

I used to think I was a very empathetic person. Now I realize that, it's not like I feel for what others are feeling, it's more like I'm constantly trying to understand what others may be thinking (i.e. anxiety). It's almost a reflex at this point, but it's more of a logical attempt than vibes.

One Thing that makes the PhD journey different than other difficult endeavors, like having a job, house keeping or parenting, is that it is absolutely optional. You can give up at any moment, and may even be better of doing so. So is feels really dumb to insist and keep going sometimes.
