I'm going to do a couple of heavies for my Canaries themed Orlock gang today. I usually prime these guys white and use contrast for the yellows, but these dudes have a bunch of recesses so I'm going to start dark and work up so any missed areas just look like shadow.

Heres my classic metal Escher contingent for Necromunda. I'm hoping to grab the new Blades of the Matriarch set at some point. I think they still mix quite well. I prefer the flatter heels of the classic models. #miniatures #paintingwarhammer #warhammercommunity

Its been a long time since i bought codexes just for reading, but the lower price on the 11th edition books is a real winner for me. And i just love paperback codexes, it takes me back to my golden years :D I need to find a proper slot for them though.

I used the Bloodtoof Red paints on this Ultramarines Sgt helmet. The coverage is nice if you're painting over a coloured underlayer, in this case it was the blue primer. You can definitely see the satin finish, which might be off putting to some.

You've got to love the original Thomas TV show as a modeller, the love and detail in every scene really comes through. I love the subtle weathering on the metals, the organic grasses and tufts and bushes. The modeling skill on display was top notch. I don't think the CGI ones can ever compare.
