I was an inaugural Seattle Sounders FC season ticket holder, and had those tickets for ten years. I gave them up when I reprioritized my “sports fan” budget to women’s sports. So in a way this Reign FC sale is the culmination of a decade and a half of Seattle soccer loyalty…

Catching up on NWSL action from the weekend… the Wrigley game was awesome but my favorite little touch from that was that they had the current NWSL standings on the pennant flags over the scoreboard. Second was Naeher is back, baby! Bodes well for the summer…

Yesterday I moved into a new place and the neighbors came by and introduced themselves. They brought a giant tray of food even though they themselves were fasting. This is the generosity and kindness that makes a neighborhood, a country even, great.

A tray full of tasty and colorful food - stuffed dates, zalabia sprinkled with powdered sugar and other sweets in the foreground, orange colored rice pilaf sprinkled with almonds, flanked by a vegetable stew, hummus, and pepper dish fading off into the distance. It is a huge feast.
