Dems coulda taken populism in a constructive direction on trade/oligarchy/corruption. But Obama betrayed his mandate, Dems rejected Bernie populism for Hillary neoliberalism, fueling the Joker version of populism: Trump. Biden populism lite wasn’t enough & now here we are. Lessons should be learned.

Hard truth for the Democratic Party: everything & everyone who led to this, from party leadership, the major consultants, the strategy, to the platform must all go. There must be a total rebuild of the party, starting with funding, then policy. This is a failure.

It’s disingenuous to say tragedy isn’t the right time to be political when everything is political. Greed has destroyed things to such extent that even the natural disasters are man made. People are running for their lives because someone wanted to make money so bad, even earth was expendable.

My point is simple. The government has failed to meet the basic standards of governance, irrespective of party affiliation. It effectively functions as an opponent to the people it is supposed to serve. We’ve got to be able to say that plainly. None of them get to be sanctimonious today.

A statement from Muslim Women For Harris/Walz:
“We cannot in good conscience, continue Muslim Women for Harris-Walz, in light of this new information from the Uncommitted movement, that VP Harris' team declined their request to have a Palestinian American speaker take the stage at the DNC.

The family of the Israeli Hostage that was on the stage tonight, has shown more empathy towards Palestinian Americans and Palestinians, than our candidate or the DNC has.

This is a terrible message to send to Democrats. Palestinians have the right to speak about Palestine.

We pray that the DNC and VP Harris team makes the right decision before this convention is over. For the sake of each of us.”
