This isn’t my first big pivot (or second). But it is the first time I’ve built something with income plan. Just a forest full of fuzzy animals in gentle stories I get to create. It’s risky. But also... peaceful. If you’ve ever felt burned out chasing big goals- give small, quiet ones a try. 😉

There’s a scene I wrote months ago that didn’t fit into the story. It was sweet and whimsical. It didn’t work with the plot... but I couldn’t delete it. 😆 Last week, I realized it did belong... in a different story. Not everything we create is wasted. Sometimes it just hasn’t found its home yet.

Creative block is real. But over the years, I’ve found a few go-to methods that gently bring the spark back: Take a quiet walk (preferably among trees 🌳) Write or draw something that’s just for me Re-read a favorite children’s book Step away and (really) rest What’s your go-to way to get unstuck?

This week, I caught myself measuring success by the number of views, clicks, subs... Then I remembered: A mom DMd me because her child asked to listen to the same story 3 nights in a row. It's so easy to chase stats & forget what counts. (Esp. early on when stats are low!) This was my reminder. 🥰

Not sure what to post for my first post, so here's a painting I did for the holidays 😅 It's my 3rd painting, not counting my attempt at an old Bob Ross tutorial with the wrong paints and weird brushes. 😜 Definitely room for improvement, but better than I expected it to turn out! 🤩
