I just don't see how anyone can make any real impression on anyone when you are forcefeeding four games in five nights. What I want to see is which goalie goes on waivers as the NYR by cutting the ones they did and Skyora's injury lost another $400 K in cap space due to buried charges

Sykora out 4-5 months is a crying shame as I thought he was a legit 4th line center this year. By the time he returns he won't have the momentum to come back as a NYR unless there is a repeat of last year.

And lastly he grew up as a NYR fan so he knows full well the pressure that comes with playing for the NYR. I would prefer keeping him while sending Smits back to Europe for another year of development. I think he needs half a season in Hartford

I see him doing the same role with the Rangers. I want to see him take more shots as his offense is better than his stats show. He is a great cover defender who rarely will make a mistake in his gap coverage. He is a smart player who can read a play as it comes up ice at him.

First off I was not happy they wasted a year of his contract. If he winds up in Hartford that wastes a 2nd year. I project him to be a second pair defender and a good one at that. At BC they used him as the defender who played with the offensive minded guy to cover for his mistakes.

Not sure on Passmore as he may play top pair for Barrie I want to see him do more with his spot. He is in the top 5 unit but he doesn't score which to me is what will keep him out of the NHL. Not asking him for Gonchar numbers but 1st unti guy should be 10-15-25

To say that they made a move. Drury has next to no confidence in the prospects. And that is a mistake, there is legit talent there, I know I spend all year watching them. The problem is they are 3rd or 4th liners at best. Malcom Spence and Nate Aspinall are lone 2nd liners

They did not need to add Veleno as they have the Sykora/Chmelar option there. You have to find ways work young players into the lineup. Rangers find ways to keep them out

Honestly unless they have seriously improved their skating Greentree, Battaglia, and Beaudoin won't put themselves into position for a call up. I would say Sykora, Brody Lamb, and Glen Gawdin are the first call ups

But if there is a dark horse to earn a roster spot. Nathan Aspinall who is a much better 6'7 guy than Rempe or Chmelar is my pick. 2nd in scoring in OHL last year, 3rd team All-CHL. Really solid 2-way player and he was the last player cut by NYR in training camp

I didn't watch the rookie games because winning or losing did not matter. The games introduced the players to the Ranger's system. WIth as much youth coming into the system change will come slow but for most it will come. Just be patient please

Yea Lamb originally came in on an ATO which he signed with Hartford. He has a legit shot because he can score from any spot on the ice and unlike a lot of the other prospects does not have skating warts

Ok so you didn't ask me but guys who can really help themselves at the rookie camp: Brody Lamb -on an AHL deal but is the best pure sniper on the roster. Artem Gonchar- might just be the best playmaker among the defensemen. Nathan Aspinal- will establish himself as the top NYR prospect

The bigger question is how much freedom will Quinton have to run the Rangers. If he truly is allowed to do the day-to-day operation then maybe something good can come out of it, but I have my doubts that Daddy will be that nice to his kids

See that is what I am talking about. Smits has yet to show us anything. Aspinall and Spence should be 1,2 Artem Gonchar is the best offensive defender but he will need a Drew Fortescue as a partner. Emery too many with the Rangers are down on him. Carey Terreance shouldn't be listed
