Listening to my 7yo daughter chatting to herself in the bath... "Welcome to the BBC news. The puffin population has gone up, the war in the Ukraine has stopped and Putin has stopped being a poo!" Best news broadcast I've heard for ages. I'm channeling her optimism ❤️

Great to see the first phase of restoration work has begun on Madeira Terrace #brighton. It's the longest continuous ironwork structure in the world but it's also a beautiful and much-loved part of the seafront

Not DHS too 😔 Of all the hideous news coming from the Trump administration, this one hits hard. DHS data is particularly essential in nutrition programming and policy. The impact of pulling this vital resource is unfathomable. www.nytimes.com/2025/02/26/h...

Exactly! Rates of malnutrition are often highest in the areas of high production or 'bread basket' districts. Stop pushing to grow more food and address the root causes of food inequity.

Regulation of UPF is mostly voluntary or information based. Sure, providing information and placing the onus on individuals to make the 'healthy choice' works really well. Just look at smoking... Oh, wait 😳
