Also shoutout @nessathewriter.bsky.social for writing my favorite borderlands character. Loveless is so much fun. She's witty *and* hot? What more could you ask for?

Our cat has entered the stage of only getting a pill every other day for his allergies and he's been struggling with the fact that that means he doesn't get wet food every night.

A cat, Francis, sitting by the refrigerator, eagerly awaiting a meal that, unbeknownst to him, won't come for another 24 hours.

Just replayed through SC2: Legacy of the Void and my god what a fantastic campaign. Alarak, Rohana, Vorazun, Artanis?? God so many fantastic characters and themes. I really hope we get another Starcraft campaign someday. And I hope against all odds some of the same writers get to work on it again.

Shot from end of Legacy of the Void. Rohana and Vorazun eye eachother as Artanis says "The Khala, designed to bring unity, ultimately only aided those divisions. Its hope was a lie."

Another strike for the "everyone is twelve now" political theory.

"everyone is twelve now" post by Patrick Cosmos

working on a new unified theory of american reality i'm calling "everyone is twelve now"

"I'm strong and I want to have like fifty kids and a farm" of course you do. You're twelve. "I don't want to eat vegetables I think steak and French fries is the only meal" hell yeah homie you're twelve. "Maybe if there's crime we should just send the army" bless your heart my twelve year old buddy

I watched Stop Making Sense with my brother at our local movie theater, and my god what a replenishment of joy that brought. It's so easy to be broken, especially on a day like today, when you see art and artists destroyed. And the songs don't ignore those pains, but seeing the beauty is so good.

A shot from Stop Making Sense, showing Tina Weymouth, Edna Holt, Lynn Mabry, David Byrne, and Alex Weir.
The song being performed is This Must Be the Place.

I finally took the time to actually decorate my room after moving a couple months ago. First time I've put "nerd shit" up on a shelf and its fun seeing it all the time now.

My bookshelf.
Top shelf has: statue of Terracotta Army soldier, Mothership Delux Box Set, Oblivion collectors amulet, Arcane collector's necklace, wood carving from a play I was in, an Apex APT Cup from work as QA.
Middle shelf has: Starcraft 2 art book, graphic novels (including Paper Girls and The Sculptor), Camus, Hagakure, and a cute stuffed animal named Bwooper
Bottom shelf has: Draw Steel books, Call of Cthulu rules, my journals, more camus, poems, and A People's History of the United States.

About a year ago I got my tattoo of Ursula from Pentiment. I remember seeing it in the mirror for the first time and thinking "I'm finally becoming myself." Pentiment means so much to me. It helped me resolve a lot of internal tension about the legitimacy of games. What a beautiful game.

I am finally getting around to playing Avowed and god damnit its so good. I love my Godlike so much. I just want to get her the heaviest armors and coolest weapons so she can look her best.

My Avowed character. She's a godlike sporting some plate armor and long white hair that, along with her godlike features, covers her eyes and face.

Blessed that my internet was down tonight. Decided to watch a downloaded movie and ended up rewatching Rashomon. God it's so great. The gate scenes are super good and the compositions on the shots are beautiful. Definitely teared up at the end too.

What video game ignited your passion for gaming? Rachet and Clank: A Crack in Time was my first game I played for myself (i.e. not just cause my older brothers played it). I'm honestly still a little in love with it and it's story.
