a small one-page comic of half-elf ian speaking to elf liarel, a grand archmage who used to be his wizarding mentor before he tried to steal her staff. through a litany of insults, liarel confesses that she told his parents that he left school and warns ian to stay away from her and his friend phifiel or she'll punish him again, as she is responsible for cursing him with lycanthropy.

a series of three drawings on the left featuring half-elf ian and elf phifiel. in the first panel ian is looking wistfully with his chin resting in his hand. in the second panel we see the back of phifiel from ian's perspective as she is reading. in the last panel, ian stands among his party, but he is looking bitterly angry, lost in his thoughts. on the right is two parchments with a letter written by ian. the bottom one ripped, crumpled, spattered with ink blots, and the text is a lot less neatly written. the text in full is too long to include, but to summarize, ian is describing his love and obsession with phifiel, how she makes him feel normal and happy, how she has completely changed his life for the better, and how he wants her to see a future with just her and him. however in the bottom paragraph, he explains how he is in anguish, sort of blaming her but also loathing himself, and how now he is so full of hate and anger and is confused by the violent voice in his head.
