My friend Zak showed me Richard Dawson in 2012. I knew it was special but i didn't have the emotional intelligence to process it. He lingered around the hospital waiting room in my soul til it was time to visit the doctor ! He had the medicine all along !

“The forest was shrinking. But the trees kept voting for the axe. The axe was clever and convinced the trees that since his handle was made of wood, he was one of them.”

Amelita Galli Curci - Crepuscule (1918) youtu.be/R6mu3Dqi4b0?... this song Crepuscule, recorded in 1918, translates to 'Twilight'. You can hear the sound of a whistle from a Campbell soup factory in the background. In my opinion it is one of the most precious pieces of recorded history

i would love to disect how my opinion of a band can fall from grace so dramatically and whether it is my fault, their fault , or a combination of both

youtu.be/eyji9uSTOvk?... beautiful obscure ethereal pop from 1981. It begins very kitschy and mysterious, borderline Goosebumps shlock before blossoming into a beautiful cascading sophistipop chorus with fretless bass and operatic singing

if i could summarise what i like about "Blue" Gene Tyranny to those who are not familiar. It is in the fusing of the avant garde with the incredibly succulent melodies of pop music into a cauldron of very sophisticated, alluring and beautiful music that my brainwaves enjoy
