This is a fascinating issue being focused on. I somewhat remember it as the tone and characters being similar to the Weezie model, but maybe not? Regardless, this will be a great listen

Against All Odds (1984) was not at all what I expected. Jeff Bridges was impeccably handsome and sharply dressed. James Woods really nailed the oily creep to perfection. Rachael Ward was luminous. However, I was completely unaware this thing was a noir.

Continuing my tour of first-time views starring Jeff Bridges in the mid-80s. I watched Jagged Edge last weekend, and 8 million Ways to Die yesterday. Now watching Against All Odds.

Yesterday was the great Louise Simonson's birthday. The comics community needs to pick a day to celebrate Louise and her husband Walt like they've done with Batman.

I was listening to Steely Dan's song Dirty Work, and realized the lyrics describe Leo DiCaprio's character in One Battle After Another.

@scottryanfmp.bsky.social I just finished your book about the making of Wild At Heart! What a fantastic book you've written! After reading, I saw that collection of cut scenes on YouTube. I'm somewhat surprised Nic Cage never worked with David after Industrial Symphony

I agree with Alonso. I will add it would have cooler when Marvel had the Star Wars license in the 70s-80s. Imagine Walt Simonson illustrating that?

One good thing about this show is that you get to hear breakdowns of runs and titles you never knew was adjacent to the actual book. The bad thing is that Jeff and Rick showcase the books so well, you go searching for them to read yourself. Looking forward to this one!

This cloudy and windy Saturday morning, my fiancé and I helped distribute over 200 school supplies to children in Poplar Bluff with the Butler County Democrats. She did a cute activity where mom's had their children hold up the frame for their picture.
