Then less than two decades after these masters died barely changed versions of their work gets barfed out to act as covers and thumbnails for plagiarized music, books, and other low-effort slop that's nearly inescapable for the folks they left behind #OpMode #NoAI #Death

I feel especially sad for the people who used to know some of the deceased artists that GenAI likes to copy from. Artists who (despite chronic, debilitating, and eventually lethal illness / conditions) honed their craft to the point you could instantly tell whose work it was #OpMode #NoAI #Death

I have solicited 3rd party advice on this one: ( Mado's Link: www.renpy.org/doc/html/mov... )

Mado says, "more than happy to!

in short, use renpy. and if you plan to use renpy, use .ogg for audio files and .webm for video files (plus .webp for most image files)

really saves on file size https://www.renpy.org/doc/html/movie.html"

Heeeeeey Mado, would you open to answering some visual novel dev questions? (Not from me personally. ThempireIain posted a question the other day) I know this is an odd thing to ask a stranger, but given that the Violence series has voice lines and such in it I figured it was worth a shot to ask

Thempire Iain asks, "Hey visual novel knowers! If I were making a visual novel that involved video (MP4) backgrounds and voice acting (MP3) in addition to the text on screen and I already owned visual novel maker so cost isn't an issue: Should I be using visual novel maker or renpy?"

Mutual aid request. End of the month hit, and due to burnout I took a week off from work. While I think I'll be able to pay rent this friday, I could use any help with groceries and other expenses #maboost #mutualaid paypal: lawoftsunami@gmail.com cashapp: $WildThorn

That is a hard one. A lot of stuff requires a spin-up period in order to actually show returns (merch, comics, etc.) Adoptables seem to be getting popular as a thing to try again, but I'd strongly advise against those. It's really hard to create a design someone wants and CAN pay for if-
