Jeremiah Kipp @jeremiahkipp.bsky.social · 26/09/2025RIP one of a kind filmmaker Henry Jaglom. I particularly loved LAST SUMMER IN THE HAMPTONS (great cast includes Viveca Lindfors, Melissa Leo, Martha Plimpton, Holland Taylor, Brooke Smith-Lubensky & Andre Gregory) - also such indie gems as TRACKS with Dennis Hopper, BABYFEVER starring Victoria Foyt 020
Jeremiah Kipp @jeremiahkipp.bsky.social · 31/08/2025Jan De Bont's "Speed" holds up really well, with fantastic pacing & glorious movie star performances by Sandra Bullock, Keanu Reeves & Dennis Hopper. Smart visual storytelling. Case study in how to do action - clean, focused, no-frills and has a vivid sense of fun. 110

Jeremiah Kipp @jeremiahkipp.bsky.social · 02/07/2025Uncompromising indie horror set within a family unit cult. Has a clear Todd Haynes "Safe" vibe with long takes and uncomfortable wide shots, a very thought through world, and a surprisingly good performance from Casper Van Dien. Smart script and a clear sense of direction. 020

Jeremiah Kipp @jeremiahkipp.bsky.social · 24/02/2025This jump scare in "Smile 2" totally f**king got me. And how great was Kyle Gallner's return (how great is he in *everything* really?) 011

Jeremiah Kipp @jeremiahkipp.bsky.social · 08/12/2024Tom Savini as one of the jerks who ruin everything at the end of DAWN OF THE DEAD. Romero seems to say, "You can always count on humans to come in and ruin everything that other humans took a lot of time and care to set up." It's a recurring theme in his DEAD movies. Thanks a lot Savini, you heel! 020
Jeremiah Kipp @jeremiahkipp.bsky.social · 08/12/2024Happy Birthday to horror movie hero and wonderful actor Sarah Cuccio - Schoofs (Theresa & Allison; Gut; Ayla; Phobia; Identity Check; Cameo; Tom Ryan's Theatre of Terror). Pictured here with me & Christopher Bye as we picture wrapped my second feature years ago. Hope we collaborate again soon! 000
Jeremiah Kipp @jeremiahkipp.bsky.social · 03/12/2024Saw Brian Yuzna's SOCIETY for the 1st time. Woah, those last 20 minutes are next level practical FX body horror. I'm not sure what's more gross: the obnoxious privilege of Beverly Hills rich people or the blobby flesh monstrosities that dominate the climax. I suspect THE SUBSTANCE knows this movie. 230
Jeremiah Kipp @jeremiahkipp.bsky.social · 02/12/2024Happy Birthday to wonderful writer Frederic Tuten. 88 years young. Grateful for his novels that I've loved including "The Adventures of Mao on the Long March" and "Van Gogh's Bad Café". And his script for Andrzej Zulawki's horror classic "Possession" 020
Jeremiah Kipp @jeremiahkipp.bsky.social · 22/11/2024It's been great to revisit a few early George Romero films, including his astonishing MARTIN which replaces Dracula's Transylvania with a crumbling suburb outside of late 20th century Pittsburgh and the count with a lonely, deeply troubled young man beautifully played by John Amplas. 040
