Andrej Završnik, CTO of Fliqa: Fliqa wants to use a similar approach for cross-border payments. It is experimenting with adding Interledger and Open Payment technologies to its merchant products. fliqa.io/?ref=activitypub #BeyondAccess #DFI
Andrej presenting on stage in front of a large screen. Slide text: Interledger's open technology is designed specifically to connect fragmented payment systems.

Why Interledger:
1. Interoperable: The Interledger Protocol lets different payment networks talk to each other. No single network, country or intermediary is the bottleneck.
2. Open: Open Payments is an open API standard. Any account provider that implements it gives users a wallet address - a payment pointer - that can send and receive.
3. Inclusive: Low-cost rails that reach small businesses, micro-entrepreneurs and underserved communities, not only the already well served.
