Why are you trans? Wrong answers only: RWBY

It took me until I was 52. I grew up in the 80s, in Arkansas, in a Southern Baptist school. The first time I'd heard about trans people was a punchline in a sitcom. It took me DECADES to figure it out and that was largely due to getting to know other trans people.

The Billboard Charts, if they *ever* represented what the public actually listens to , hasn't in a long time.

Trans lesbians are incredible and I think there should be more of us.

Oh yay! So excited for these. I expect that bottom one will get a LOT of use. I love them @magicariot.com

Heard what happened at Cornell. I don't hate men nearly enough.

I'm not trying to doompost but at 59 I'm acutely aware that I might not live to see trans people regain everything we had when I came out.

What cis men do when they get the slightest amount of pushback. "Well, damn I guess you forced me to be a Nazi."

Today's interactions have only reinforced this.

Having cramps and am very cranky right now I wonder what's going on with me....*looks at date* Ah, that explains that.

I've come to the conclusion that cis male "allies" would serve us best by shutting up forever.

I suppose it's unfortunately to be expected that this "Summer of Yuri" really only had one anime that was unambiguously sapphic. Subtext and outright queerbait are still the rule rather than the exception.

Thankful that I can (barely) afford my HRT out of pocket. Because this is absurd.

I've noticed something weird about my music preferences...I was a teen in the 80s and I love most of the music either by male or female artists even though I did have a preference for female singers. But sometime in the early 90s it's like a switch went off and I had ZERO interest in male singers.

“Video Games are for children” A sentence one can only make if the last game they played was when they were a child. It bothers me when people flat out dismiss an entire artistic medium.

I'm not saying lesbians can't be thirsty but god there is such a gulf between how men talk about attractive women and how (gay) women do.

I find it so striking the difference between liberal accounts on here and those of trans people. Trans people talk about politics because it's a matter of survival but it isn't ALL we talk about. We talk about our loves, our art, our dreams. For the libs it's all about the game.

I think they'd be initially surprised but given a minute they'd understand and be impressed. Twenty year old me was lonely and miserable and in pain and not really knowing why. Now, here I am a year away from 60 and I am surrounded by love and friendship. It's everything 20 year old me wanted.

This isn't even an exaggeration. I had two straight white cis dudes telling me I didn't care about evil because I didn't want to vote for the "lesser" evil. They didn't like my reply that the lesser evil still leaves me and my trans siblings dead.
