We have been drilling small things during the week and challenging ourselves on the weekend days. And this challenge was “make it cozy”

a woman is suspended in rope in a room in front of a window with wooden shades showing a green landscape with dappled light. She is in a position mimicking taking a nap, but with her legs crossed. Her feet are close to the lens, rope going over her soles.

A dense weekend of community and hedonism and now I need an entire quiet week alone pls.

I love b&w rope photos so much.

B&W photo of my tying partner tightly holding a fist in an upper body harness with their legs in a futo and a thigh cuff. Her toes are creating a fun shadow on her inner thigh.

Still taking this shape to the lab but it always feels a little magical to me.

Elevation Rope was so fun, but included SO MUCH rain. My sandal-only strategy yielded some… feet with character.

Making things with lots of love for people I like was my path into art. And it never gets old.

Oh I’m in that winter malaise and very thankful for rope and indoor self-portraits.

In total, the scene was maybe 15 minutes but watching it, I felt like time slowed to a crawl. 💦💦💦💦

This summer I captured a drowning scene in the mountains of North Carolina at Elevation Rope - it remains one of the more intense scenes I’ve had the pleasure to witness. And there are SO MANY good images.

“Carve your heart into me” Two friends, Inez and @suede-daddy.bsky.social, let me shoot this scarification just a couple weeks ago. Hand developed by me.

Inez carves a heart over a previous heart scar already on @suede-daddy.bsky.social’s outer left thigh while she lays on her right side. Soft, indirect natural light is streaming in behind them both. The red heart is being cut for the first time. Inez’s body is in the foreground and in focus are their hands, the scalpel.

I’ve been sick this weekend and unable to do much but lay on the couch and watch movies which doesn’t really give me the base level of dopamine needed. So here is my butt.
