I always see Frodo embodying a classic Javanese batik motif called Parang Rusak. Its earth tone, the dark and white, and wavy curves evoke eternal fight between light and darkness, earthly wisdom, and determination, like waves that shape rocks with time. 1/2 #TolkienTrewsday #TolkienTuesday #Tolkien

A painting of Frodo, a hobbit with dark, curly hair and blue eyes, wearing a green robe and coat outside a brown vest. A sword's hilt can be seen peeking from under his coat. The robe is fastened with a leaf brooch. He has a concerned, a little sad, yet determined look.

A pattern of batik called Parang Rusak. It consists of diagonal rows of S-like white lines, white dots, and golden dots as borders.

I have a confession: reading LotR, I grieved more for the party tree than I did for any other character 🫣 #TolkienTrewsday

#TolkienTrewsday #TolkienTuesday #Tolkien The Party Tree It's one of my favourite moments from LotR. Everything related to The Shire in fact. But that chapter is one that I have always loved and Ralph Bakshi's LotR for me offered my favourite on screen 'Party Tree' moment.
